Jain temple demolished in Lahore

LAHORE (TIP): The Punjab government in Pakistan demolished a centuries-old Jain temple in Lahore on February 10, triggering an uproar with leader of the opposition in Punjab assembly Mian Mehmood-ur-Rashid demanding an inquiry into the incident.

The temple as well as various other historical buildings situated in Jain Mandir Square were brought down to facilitate the completion of Orange Line Metro Train (OMT) project.
