NEW YORK (TIP): The Consulate General of India in collaboration with World Yoga Community Inc. organized an evening of Indian classical music and dance on Friday, December 18, 2015 in the Consulate’s ballroom. The program was attended by a large number of members of the cultural community including prominent New York City Councilman Rory Lancman.

Consul General of India in New York, Ambassador Dnyaneshwar M. Mulay, extended a word of welcome to the performers and guests. Mr. Mulay briefly described activities of the Consulate, including yoga classes that are being held at the Consulate.

The evening started with art slideshow presentation of Mr. Anand Patole’s painting. Three artists – two Musicians and one Classical Dancer made the evening memorable. Sitarist Anjana Roy along with Anand Patole on Tabla performed the “Raga Bageshwari”. Bharatnatyam dancer, Bindiya Prasad presented her formal solo performance on “Shiv Bhakti”.
