Bollywood themed Authentic Indian Restaurant “DHOOM” opens in Secaucus, NJ

SECACUS, NJ (TIP): Dhoom, a Bollywood themed authentic Indian restaurant was officially inaugurated by Mayor Michael Gonnellion Oct 18th, 2013 in Secaucus, New Jersey. Co-owners Jimmy Patel and Vijay Rao, who currently operate the Michelin Star-rated Tulsi in New York City, had a vision to start a restaurant with filmy ambience. Their dream came true with opening of Dhoom (blast). Indian film memorabilia is all over this Michelin Star-rated restaurant, with delectable menu designed by chef Hemant Mathur and chef Dhandu Ram. Chefs Mathur and Ram have an impressive resume, having worked together at New Delhi’s celebrated Bukhara Restaurant, they joined hand to serve NY metropolitan area patron with two exotic locations.

Chef Mathur received critical appreciation from The New York Times, New York Magazine and Food & Wine app, when he led the culinary team of Devi for 6 years. Chef Ram attracted food enthusiasts at Yuva and Khyber Grill. Dhoom’s extensive menu features tandoori lamb chops, tandoori tiger shrimp, flambéed tandoori lobster as well as classic dishes such as tikki masala and saag paneer. A fivecourse Prix fixe menu offers several vegetarian and jain food options. Dhoom has a Full featured bar with liquors from around the world. Drinks like “Bollywood Dancer ” and “Sholay 75” take you into the dramatic world of Hindi Cinema. Besides a well-decorated restaurant, Dhoom provides private party space.
