An Evening of Business and Cultural exchange for the Indian-American and Korean-American communities

NEW YORK CITY (TIP): The Consulate General of India, supported by US-India Business Council in association with the Consulate General of Korea organized an event- ‘The Young Professionals Forum’ at the Consulate of India in New York on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 to provide a forum for thought-provoking presentations, engaged discussions and networking.

The event was attended by a large number of professionals from both the communities, including the Consul Generals – Ambassador Riva Ganguly Das and Ambassador Gheewhan Kim amongst other prominent members of the entrepreneurial world.

The evening began with a documentary ‘A Perfect Match’ about Indian and Korean partnerships. This was followed by welcoming remarks delivered by Consul Generals of both countries. Both Consul Generals showed enthusiasm to build strong ties and strategic partnership which has been initiated by their Governments.

To highlight the rich cultural heritage of both countries, Bharatnatyam was performed by Ms. Priyanka Chowdhury and Korean Traditional Music was presented by Rami Seo, a world class gayaguemist and team.

Keynote speakers, Mr. Sonny Khurana, Founder President & CEO of iTech and Mr. Khee Lee, Founding Partner at LH2 Ventures, spoke about their journey from their homeland and how they overcame all odds to make their journey successful.

The evening ended with open discussions followed by closing remarks by both Consul Generals.
