Innocent 9-year-old boy hit by errant shot as two goons square off in the Bronx: Police

NEW YORK (TIP):
A 9-year-old was an innocent bystander who was shot in the foot after two men got into an argument near the intersection of Prospect Ave. and E. 175th St. in the Bronx. The men got into an argument near the intersection of Prospect Ave. and E. 175th St. about 3:50 p.m. and at least one shot was fired, striking the young boy, the sources said. The boy, who was a bystander in the immediate area and was not involved in the incident, was hit in the left foot by a single round, the sources said. He was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center, where doctors were treating his wound. The gunman fled in a white vehicle that was headed west along E. 175th St. toward Crotona Ave., sources said. It was not immediately clear what the men were arguing about.
