Actor Aamir Khan shared that he had no issues playing the role of a lover in ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ opposite his co-star Fatima Sana Shaikh. The actor was speaking in an interview when he said Vijay Krishna Acharya (the director) offered to remove the romantic angle between them since Shaikh had played his daughter in ‘Dangal’. However, the 60-year-old said he didn’t mind playing Shaikh’s lover because he only played her father in a film, not in real-life.In a conversation with Lallantop, Khan revealed that the director had said, “We won’t have a romantic track between you and her because she was your daughter in ‘Dangal’. How can she play your girlfriend here? Audience will reject this.”To this, the actor responded, “I don’t believe in all of this. Main asal mein thode uska baap hun, aur na asal mein main uska boyfriend hun. Hum log film bana rahe hain bhai (I am not her father in real life, and neither am I her boyfriend in real life. We are making a movie).”

Actor Govinda is set to make his long-awaited return to the silver screen. After staying away from cinema for a few years, the veteran actor has begun preparations for his upcoming film titled ‘Duniyadari’. The popular 90s Bollywood star shared a glimpse of the rehearsals for the film on his Instagram handle. In the video, he could be seen dancing gracefully to what appears to be the song’s signature step. Captioning the video, the actor wrote, “Doing rehearsal for my forthcoming film Duniyadari.” While more details about the film are still under wraps, the actor’s return has sparked excitement among fans.
Meanwhile, an old controversy surrounding Govinda has also resurfaced. His earlier claim about being offered the lead role in James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’ is once again making headlines. The issue came up during a recent appearance by Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, on Uorfi Javed’s YouTube channel.

Ajay Devgn is set to return to the big screen in his iconic turban-clad avatar with ‘Son of Sardaar 2’, officially titled ‘The Return of the Sardaar’. The actor unveiled a brand-new poster of the much-awaited sequel on social media, announcing that the film will hit cinemas on 25th July 2025.
Sharing the poster, Ajay Devgn wrote, “Yeh family photo nahi Yeh hone wale dhamaake ki warning hai #SonOfSardaar2 in cinemas this 25th of July! #SardaarIsBack #SOS2.”
Earlier, the actor had shared a teaser poster featuring him in a turban, with the caption, “The Return of the Sardaar #SOS2 in cinemas near you on 25th July. #SardaarIsBack #SonOfSardaar2,” tagging Mrunal Thakur, Jio Studios, Devgn Films, and T-Series. Mrunal Thakur, who plays the female lead in the film, had also given fans a glimpse from the set by posting a clapboard photo with the caption, “SCENE 49 SHOT 5 TAKE 1 ACTION!”
Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, ‘Son of Sardaar 2’ is backed by Jio Studios, Devgn Films, and T-Series. The film promises a mix of action, comedy, and high-spirited drama, continuing the story from the 2012 blockbuster ‘Son of Sardaar’. The original film starred Ajay Devgn as Jassi and Sanjay Dutt as Billu. In the sequel, Dutt returns as Don, while Sanjay Mishra joins the cast in a role initially intended for Vijay Raaz, replacing Ravi Kishan’s character from the first film.

Aamir Khan’s coming-of-age sports comedy Sitaare Zameen Par, a spiritual sequel to his 2007 directorial debut Taare Zameen Par, is slowly and surely inching towards the Rs 100 crore mark. In the process, the RS Prasanna film has not only surpassed the lifetime domestic box office collection of his 2017 Hindi directorial debut Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, but also that of Taare Zameen Par.
On June 25, Sitaare Zameen Par added another Rs 7.25 crore to its total earnings. Over the weekend, the film amassed Rs 20.2 crore and Rs 27.25 crore on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
As per industry tracker Sacnilk, the current domestic box office collection of Sitaare Zameen Par stands at Rs 82.40 crore. Thus, it has now breached the Rs 80 crore mark and is just Rs 20 crore shy of making it to the Rs 100 crore club. With its slow and steady trajectory, the film has surpassed a number of other related films by a fair margin.
Earlier this week, it already surpassed the lifetime domestic earnings of Aamir’s previous film, Advait Chandan’s Laal Singh Chaddha (2022), which earned only Rs 61.36 crore. Over the opening weekend itself, Sitaare Zameen Par also surpassed the lifetime earnings of Prasanna’s 2017 Hindi directorial debut Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, which earned Rs 42.79 crore.
That romantic comedy, produced by Aanand L Rai’s Color Yellow Productions and Eros International, starred Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar. An official Hindi remake of his 2013 Tamil directorial debut Kalyana Samayal Saadham, it revolved around the theme of erectile dysfunction. A sequel, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan was also made in 2020, which wasn’t helmed by Prasanna, but by the first film’s writer Hitesh Kewalya.
Sitaare Zameen Par has also surpassed the lifetime earnings of its spiritual predecessor Taare Zameen Par, which starred Darsheel Safary, Tisco Chopra, and Aamir, and revolved around the theme of dyslexia. Also backed by Aamir Khan Productions, it had earned Rs 62.95 crore back when it released in 2007.

The trailer of ‘Nikita Roy’, a supernatural thriller starring Sonakshi Sinha and Arjun Rampal, was unveiled on Wednesday, June 11. Directed by Kussh S Sinha and written by Pavan Kirpalan, the film also features Paresh Rawal and Suhail Nayyar in key roles. The trailer showcases chilling visuals, beginning with Sonakshi Sinha stepping into a mysterious house deep in the woods at night, only to encounter supernatural forces.
Paresh Rawal appears to play a Godman in the film, and he seems to manipulate people psychologically, while Sonakshi’s character is determined to expose his truth within a week. Sinha is seen joining forces with Arjun Rampal’s character to uncover the truth behind a series of murders. The trailer keeps the plot largely under wraps, adding to the intrigue.

Salman Khan is gearing up for his next film with director Apoorva Lakhia. As per latest reports, Salman will team up with actress Chitrangda Singh in the upcoming film.
According to sources cited by India Today, Chitrangda has been chosen to play the female lead opposite Salman Khan in the action drama that has not yet been given a title. The film’s intense and realistic tone is further enhanced by rumours that it takes inspiration from actual military events.
The project, which was directed by Apoorva Lakhia, is said to be based on actual events. The film has already created buzz for its intriguing premise and stellar cast, even though specifics regarding the plot are still being kept under wraps.
Notably, this marks the first on-screen collaboration between Salman Khan and Chitrangda Singh, adding an element of freshness to the pairing and heightening anticipation around the film.
According to an earlier report by Pinkvilla, Salman Khan is set to collaborate with director Apoorva Lakhia for an upcoming army thriller inspired by the book India’s Most Fearless 3. Based on the actual events of the 2020 Galwan Valley conflict, the movie is anticipated to show the Indian Armed Forces’ incredible bravery and sacrifices during that time.
The project is expected to start filming in July 2025, according to sources the publication cited. It was revealed that the filming would begin in July and would span about 70 days, shooting in various locations in Mumbai and Ladakh. The 70-day schedule has been planned to meet the logistical and narrative demands of the film, which is said to centre on a story that develops over two nights. Additionally, according to the source, this would be Salman Khan’s first official role in a feature film as an army officer. Three younger actors are rumoured to be joining him, giving the cast a multigenerational dynamic.
Meanwhile, Salman was last seen in Sikandar which released on March 30, 2025. It also starred Rashmika Mandanna, Shreyas Talpade, Pratik Smita Patil, and others. Whereas Chitrangda was recently seen in Housefull 5, currently running in theatres.

One of Indian cinema’s most iconic films, ‘Umrao Jaan’, starring the legendary actor Rekha, is set to return to the big screen. It is returning to theatres on June 27, restored in 4K resolution.
The 1981 classic has undergone restoration led by the National Film Archive of India (NFAI) and the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), bringing the 19th-century poetic epic to life for a new generation of cinephiles.
Directed by Muzaffar Ali, ‘Umrao Jaan’ is a cinematic gem celebrated for its soulful storytelling, music, and rich portrayal of Awadhi culture. The film was originally produced by SK Jain & Sons and Integrated Films, and has long been revered for Rekha’s unforgettable portrayal of the courtesan-poet, a performance that earned her the National Film Award for Best Actress.
PVR Inox announced the re-release on Instagram. “A story of elegance, love, and timeless music! Revisit Umrao Jaan in stunning 4K – a cinematic jewel restored, reimagined, and reborn with our Curated Shows. #UmraoJaan re-releasing at PVR INOX on June 27!,” read the caption.
To mark the occasion, filmmaker Muzaffar Ali will also launch a limited-edition coffee table book, offering a rare glimpse behind the scenes of the film’s making. The book features never-before-seen photographs, original costume sketches, calligraphy, poetry, and personal anecdotes from the set. It will be released in tandem with the film’s theatrical re-release.
Speaking about the film’s revival, Ali said in a statement, “Umrao Jaan was not just a film – it was a journey into the soul of a lost culture, a forgotten tehzeeb. Through her pain, poetry, and grace, we tried to resurrect the elegance of an era where love and longing spoke in verse. I had actors who brought a lot of heft to their characters, and then there was Rekha, who lived Umrao Jaan and truly immortalised it. I am thrilled that the film is back on the big screen for a whole new generation to discover a time and culture that’s very much a part of our being.”
The film’s illustrious cast also includes Farooq Shaikh as Nawab Sultan, Naseeruddin Shah, Raj Babbar, Shaukat Kaifi, Dina Pathak, and Gajanan Jagirdar, among others. It also marked the debut of the late Farrukh Jaffar, who portrayed Umrao’s mother in the film.

Actor Akshay Kumar’s ‘Housefull 5’ trailer, released on May 27, 2025, once again sparked nostalgia among fans. Social media users praised Akshay for his comic timing as he takes on a pivotal role in the fifth instalment of the franchise. Fans on X even called him the ‘king of comedy,’ claiming he is unbeatable when it comes to humour.
While praising Akshay in ‘Housefull 5,’ a fan on X wrote, “No one can defeat Akshay Kumar in comedy.” Another fan captioned, “Comedy ka asli king Akshay Kumar hi hai (Akshay Kumar is the real king of comedy).”

‘Housefull 5’ is directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.Despite being a sequel, ‘Housefull 5’ has a fresh new plot. All films in the movie franchise have independent storylines which do not have any connection to the predecessors.
The film is a murder mystery set on a ship where one of the three heirs will inherit 69 billion pounds worth of wealth. However, when their father gets murdered on the ship, the mysterious circumstances lead to a comedy-of-errors. The laugh-riot brings more characters on board with cops getting involved.
Apart from Akshay, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Sonam Bajwa, Jacqueliene Fernandez and Nargis Fakhri, also play pivotal characters in the whodunnit. The supporting cast includes Johnny Lever, Chunky Pandey, Jacky Shroff, Sanjay Dutt and Nana Patekar, among others. ‘Housefull 5’ is slated for worldwide release on June 6, 2025.

Actor Tamannah Bhatia says whether it is her special songs in movies, her performance in films or on OTT, as an entertainer, her aim is to reach out to her audience.
The actor, who has featured in special appearance in a song in some of the recent films like Kannada blockbuster “KGF: Chapter 1” starring Yash, Rajnikanth-led “Jailer”, “Stree 2”, John Abraham’s “Vedaa” and Ajay Devgn’s “Raid 2”, said song is “one of the many things” she does.
“It happens with a lot of people, they do get typecast. But it hasn’t happened with me because I do long format, features, and I work in different languages, and industries. I work on stage, I make reels. I’m an entertainer. I’m only interested in reaching people,” Bhatia told PTI in an interview.
“I don’t consider any platform small or big. My job is to entertain people in some way, and whenever I get that opportunity, I give it my all with respect and interest, I give it my all. I hope people like it.”
The actor said she has a slew of exciting films in the pipeline in Bollywood like “Ranger” with Ajay Devgn, Rakesh Maria biopic with John Abraham, “No Entry” sequel and folk thriller “Vvan” with Sidharth Malhotra. “Everything leads to something. It’s a misnomer that if you do something, you become typecast. I’ve done a lot of songs, if you count how many songs I’ve done, you will be stunned. But every song has either given me a connection with the people or taught me a little dance.

Actor Saiyami Kher, who made her Bollywood debut with Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra’s ‘Mirzya’, recently made a revelation about her struggling days. Saiyami said that she was asked to compromise for a role in a Telugu movie.
Saiyami in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, recalled the interaction with a female casting agent and said, “I have been very fortunate with regards to all the offers I have received. In the film industry, there was this one agent who called me for a Telugu film when I was 19 or 20 years old. She said, ‘You know, you will have to make compromises.’ I was trying to test her, because it was a woman saying it to another woman. I felt that deeply.”
She further added, “So I said, ‘Ma’am, I’m not understanding what you are saying.’ I kept repeating that. And then finally she said, ‘See, you have to understand.’ So I said, ‘I’m sorry that you feel I’m someone who needs to go down this route. There are certain limits I have never crossed in my life.’ So yes, I have experienced it once, but it was just that one time when a woman actually asked me this.”
Saiyami was paired opposite Anil Kapoor’s son, Harshvardhan Kapoor in ‘Mirzya.’ She later featured in movies such as ‘Choked,’ ‘Unpaused,’ and Telugu films like Nagarjuna’s ‘Wild Dog’ and ‘Highway.’ She was also praised for her roles in R Balki’s ‘Ghoomer,’ co-starring Abhishek Bachchan and Tahira Kashyap’s ‘Sharmajee Ki Beti.’
Saiyami was last seen in Sunny Deol-starrer action-drama ‘Jaat’ where she played Sub-Inspector Vijaya Lakshmi. The Gopichand Malineni directorial also featured Randeep Hooda, Regina Cassandra, Vineet Kumar Singh and others in crucial roles.
Saiyami is the granddaughter of late actor Usha Kiran and niece of actor Tanvi Azmi.

Paresh Rawal shocked everyone with his sudden decision to exit Priyadarshan’s Hera Pheri 3. Now, in an interview with India Today, Suniel Shetty also expressed shock at Paresh’s decision and revealed that even Akshay Kumar is clueless about it.
When asked about Paresh’s decision to quit Hera Pheri 3, Suniel said he was clueless about it and added, “This is absolutely shocking. I first thought about texting him, and then I thought I’d meet him and would discuss it. I have had no word about it with anybody. Even Akshay is clueless as to what happened.”
He further admitted, “This is a crisis. We are in the middle of this film, and this is the biggest shock. We were going to begin shooting next year. We had already started, in fact. We shot a promo. It’s a big thing. This is so shocking. I can’t make sense of this. And you know who sent it? Athiya and Ahaan – they both sent it to me within 15 minutes, asking ‘papa what is this?’. And I was here doing my interviews, and I felt like ‘holy s***’.”
After Paresh confirmed quitting Hera Pheri 3, there was speculation that he stepped away due to creative differences with the makers, and some even speculated that he left the film due to remuneration issues. However, in an interview with Mid-Day, the actor refuted any such rumours and revealed, “I know it came as a shock to many. We three make a great combination with Priyadarshanji directing us, but the fact is that I opted out because today I don’t feel like a part of it.”
The Hera Pheri franchise started with Priyadarshan’s Hera Pheri in 2000 and introduced the iconic trio of Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty to Bollywood. The audience’s love for the slapstick comedy, one-liners and the characters of the film made it a cult classic.

The iconic ‘Ram Lakhan’ duo, Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor, are set to reunite on the big screen in Shah Rukh Khan’s highly anticipated action thriller, ‘King’. The film, which is scheduled to begin filming on May 20, marks the first collaboration of the legendary trio, Shah Rukh, Shroff, and Kapoor, since their 1995 blockbuster ‘Trimurti’.
While details of Jackie Shroff’s role remain under wraps, his addition to the cast has added to the excitement around the film. Anil Kapoor has been confirmed to play Shah Rukh’s handler and mentor, guiding his character through a gritty, high-stakes narrative. The film, headlined by Shah Rukh Khan, will see him in a never-before-seen avatar.
“Siddharth Anand narrated the basic world of King to Jackie Shroff along with his character arc, and the actor took no time to come on board the film. Jackie is all excited to embark on this action-packed journey with Shah Rukh Khan and the team. Jackie feels that Shah Rukh Khan is the most accomplished and large-hearted producer of Indian Cinema, and is looking forward to be on the sets on King,” a source told Pinkvilla.
“King has one of the largest ensembles for a feature film in modern times, as every character has been cast to perfection with actors who fit the bill to the T. Apart from this ensemble, King will also feature some more actors to play relatively small but important roles in the film,” the source added.
Directed by filmmaker Siddharth Anand, ‘King’ will feature a star-studded ensemble including Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Suhana Khan, Arshad Warsi, and Abhay Verma. The makers of the film are aiming for a 100-day shoot schedule across multiple locations, starting in Mumbai before heading to Europe for a major international leg.
Set for a theatrical release between October and December 2026, the film will have an exciting collaboration between Sachin–Jigar, who will compose the songs, and Anirudh Ravichander, who will handle the background score.
