Baggage allowance on Air India revised

NEW YORK (TIP): On the occasion of India‘s 69th Independence Day, Air India has revised the baggage allowance on domestic flights within India, a press release from Air India states.

The press release says, “Effective August 12th, 2015, the free checked in baggage allowance for domestic flyers is increased to 25 kg in Economy Class on Domestic Sectors within India. This will be valid up to February 7, 2016.

“The US Baggage Allowance of 2 pieces will apply to passengers traveling on Air India between the US & India, and connecting to an Air India Domestic Sector within India in both directions. This is in addition to our prevailing low fares between the US & India.”
