Drew Barrymore, who is looking trim after giving birth to her first child Olive just four months back, revealed her slimming secret while attending the New York City Ballet’s Annual Luncheon Benefit on Thursday.

The 37-year-old actress flashed a pair of Spanx’s control underwear under a skirt, when she was walking into the Manhattan theatre, the Daily Mail reported.

At first, her long, floaty skirt, with a black-and-white tie-dye pattern, appeared to keep everything covered but as she walked, its thigh-high slit became glaringly apparent, so did her black Spanx.

The curve tightening-underwear can be used to hide bumps and bulges, but it appeared that Barrymore wore hers as a kind of slip as she feared revealing too much.

Kelly Brook has unveiled her hottest look yet in a new sizzling lingerie photo shoot. The 33-year-old model, who is allegedly dating her former beau Danny Cipriani, showed off her deep dark tan and luscious sleek locks in a series of the sultry snaps, as she revealed her new Valentine’s Day range of underwear for New Look, the Daily Mail reported.

In one of the picture the brunette beauty can be seen relaxing on a sofa wearing a blue and white polka dot two piece set with lace embroidery, while in another image she is spotted showing off her curves in a bright red basque. The model also sported other underwear with sexy lace bras in navy and red hues, which took inspiration from the 50s with high waisted knickers.

STORY:

REVIEW:
When you first meet Maya (Chastain), she’s a recruit fresh off the plane from Washington, stepping into one of the CIA’s Black Sites where detainees are being interrogated (read: tortured) to give up the location of al Qaeda head Osama bin Laden. Her fellow officer Dan (Clarke) is persuasive and experienced enough to make the tough calls and wonders if Maya has what it takes.

He needn’t have worried. By the time the Bush administration gives way to Obama’s and Dan returns to Washington, she is doggedly pursuing any and every lead that can bring her closer to her target. Personal losses, two attacks on her life notwithstanding, she single-mindedly trudges on and on till the very end.

Jessica Chastain deserves to win every award she’s nominated for this year. That’s how good her performance in the film is. The supporting actors impress as well, and that’s rare to see. Backed by a winning script by Mark Boal (who also wrote Bigelow’s The Hurt Locker), Chastain strides through in a splendid role.

Kathryn is the film’s other star. Beginning the film in the dark with voices amplifying the terror that was 9/11, she matter-of-factly tells her story, in chapters which might just as well have been a visual dossier of the bin Laden killing, but is elevated by the human element. However, overindulgence is what truly mars the effort. The film could’ve been much shorter.

Clocking in at close to three hours, the film’s premise is based on a series of events that spanned close to a decade, but the suspense is built, almost in real time, on slow-burn. It gives you the feeling of being there ‘as it happens’. That’s not always something your audience wants.

Note: You will not like this movie if scenes of torture and foul language disturb you.

Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones says she was not worried one bit when her husband Michael Douglas informed her that he was going to kiss co-actor Matt Damon in a new project. “I’m kissing Matt Damon,” Douglas told his wife.

But Welsh star Zeta-Jones says she was “happy” about the two men snogging, reports thesun.co.uk. Douglas portrays the flamboyant Liberace in a movie about the late performer’s gay love affair with Scott Thorson, played by Damon. Zeta-Jones, 43, revealed that Damon was thinking of her while he was getting up, close and personal with Douglas.

The film, “Liberace: Behind The Candelabra”, is a TV movie by “Ocean’s Eleven” director Steven Soderbergh. “I must say I have seen ‘Liberace: Behind The Candelabra’, and if my husband is going to kiss anybody else, I’m so happy it’s Matt Damon,” she said. “Supposedly, when Matt was kissing Michael, he said that he closed his eyes and pretended he was kissing me, rather than Michael, which is very flattering. Matt said that to Michael. Matt was closing his eyes, kissing Michael but pretending he was kissing me.

STORY: For a thief, Parker is quite a stickler for rules. He doesn’t kill, takes only what he needs and believes in clean getaways. After a somewhat successful caper, he’s double-crossed, shot at and left for dead. And like Bruce Willis, doesn’t die easy. He is rescued, taken to a hospital and heads to Florida to take on his former crew.

MOVIE REVIEW:
You come to expect a certain flair from a Statham film. It feels like Hackford (Academy Award nominee for Jamie Foxx-starrer ‘Ray’) and his writer John J McLaughlin (‘Hitchcock’ and ‘Black Swan’) let him down with this middling adaptation of a Donald E Westlake novel.

His crew has connections is high places, Parker is warned and upon his return is even given hush money to stay away. His girlfriend is threatened and an assassin is sent to kill him. Parkers survives, follows them to Palm Beach, Florida in disguise, under an assumed identity and looks around with the help of a desperate real estate agent (JLo) looking for a way out of her deadbeat life.

It’s stupid that there’s the hint at a love triangle when his character is deeply in love with his girlfriend Claire (something the first half takes goes to great lengths to establish). And moreover, it’s tiring to sit through the entirety of this film (two hours too long), annoying to have to put up with an uneven pace and a seriously imbalanced quality of cast.

Also, why is a ‘serious’ filmmaker and his writer at the helm of something that’s being marketed as an action film? We’ve grown used to seeing Statham in the driver’s seat of a fast-paced action thriller.

Something this film, despite pretensions, isn’t. No wonder, he’s taking a backseat here. Come to think of it, all of them are. It’s almost as if they couldn’t care less. Should you?

Socialite Kim Kardashian, who is expecting her first child in July with rapper boyfriend Kanye West, is under stress because of her divorce battle with estranged husband Kris Humphries.

She is worried it could have a long-term effect on her baby. Kim split from Kris in November 2011 after 72 days of marriage. A source told tmz.com that Kim, 32, was treated for severe abdominal pains in recent days, after her doctor rushed to her home in the middle of the night to examine her and warned her to reduce her stress levels.

She has been suffering from similar pains all week, including in the hours after her meeting with her divorce lawyer Laura Wasser Tuesday. Her friends insist the only significant stress is her life right now is her divorce. Kim’s mother and manager Kris Jenner confirmed she has been told to relax. “Kim has been going through this divorce for months. She has been under a lot of stress because of it and the doctors told her she had a really tough week and the stress could become a problem if she isn’t careful,” said Jenner.

Miranda Kerr stripped down to her undies as she posed for the new Victoria’s Secret bridal lingerie campaign. The mother-of-one poses in a variety of sheer, frilly and generally sexy underwear, showing of her lovely lean figure in the process, the Mirror reported.

The Victoria’s Secret styling team worked all the usual wedding essentials into the shoot, with the supermodel’s accessories including a veil, tiara, bouquet of flowers and a garter. The snaps come hot on the heels of more shots of her wearing not very much, after she tweeted pictures of herself in a black bikini whilst on holiday in Mexico.

Kareena Kapoor Khan has added one more wifely duty to her list. She is now keeping tabs of her husband Saif Ali Khan’s movie collections.

One heard that all through the last weekend, Bebo was asking friends and trade pundits what the exact box office figures of Saif’s last film were. Saifeena reportedly just got back from Goa from one of their brief breaks before Saif plunges headlong into the schedule of his next movie in Lucknow.

It’s rare when an actress borrows from her co-actor’s wardrobe. One such rare example is Deepika Padukone, who, we’re told, borrowed from Shah Rukh Khan’s wardrobe for a photo-shoot of their next movie together.

Seems the actress and her stylist were figuring the different looks she should wear when the latter learnt of an entire range of outfits sourced for SRK. After getting the superstar’s nod, the designer and the actress not only had a dekko of his clothes, but also picked a red lungi and a matching blue shirt for one of her changes for the shoot. “Deepika was keen to do something that hasn’t attempted before.”

Former beauty queen Lara Dutta, who is looking forward to ” David” release, recalls the time when she shot for the film. She says her daughter was just five months old at that time.

Deepika Padukone enthralled one and all with her intense acting in Cocktail and the awards season has become the talk of the town. However, Deepika is not bothered about the awards and takes people’s appreciation as the biggest compliment.

On being asked about the competition as Vidya Balan and Sridevi top the list in the awards nominations, Deepika said, “It’s a good thing. Drew Barrymore, who has been voted one of the top 50 sexiest movie stars by Empire magazine, has revealed that she dresses up like a dork when she is at home.

The 37-year-old actress says making her husband smile makes her feel pretty. “I feel most attractive when I make Will laugh.I am usually in sweatpants and a scrunchie, being a dork. But when I hear his funny laugh, I am like, ‘Damn, I feel pretty’,” the Daily Express quoted Barrymore as saying. Barrymore, who has a four-month-old daughter Olive, also said that she’ll be keeping her daughter away from make-up until she’s old enough.

Kristen Bell has filed a lawsuit against Hollywood tequila bar L’Scorpion for unpaid profits after investing 20K dollars in it in July 2005. The 32-year-old actress, along with four other plaintiffs, has sued the owners of the restaurant and bar after they failed to pay the group their portion of its profits, the Contactmusic reported. According to E! News, the courts documents, which were filed in Los Angeles on Friday, states that the Meridian Restaurant group was supposed to give five percent of its profits to the group in return to their investment.

Sofia Vergara feels that her prostitute look helped her get into the show business. The ‘Modern Family’ star was among a handful of actors and actress’ who kicked off Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday with personal stories about how they got started in the business, People Magazine reported.

The 40-year-old actress joked about her curvy figure saying that her father told her that if she ever did something artistic she would have had to look like a hooker, to which she said that she already looked like a prostitute due to the big breasts that she inherited from her grandmother.

STORY: Jean Valjean is a man shackled to his past. A petty crime sees him a ‘slave of the law’ for 19 years. Out on parole, he tries making a stab at a new life but a piece of paper brands him a dangerous man forever. An act of kindness later, he finds himself paying it forward. However, not before buckets of tears are shed.

MOVIE REVIEW: Set in the 19th century, this Tom Hooper adaptation of the Victor Hugo classic merits attention first and foremost for its stellar cast. Each song carries the power of the words the characters utter. When they’re angry, you feel the rage, when they’re joyous, it’s spring and when they’re in tears, everything turns a darker shade of dismal grey. As Valjean, Jackman plays a variety of parts exceedingly well. He’s a convict, he’s a factory owner, a mayor, a benefactor, a foster father and a hero.

As a foil to the protagonist, Crowe as the persistent prison guard/inspector Javert is annoyingly good. While not as consistent in clarity of dialogue delivery as Jackman, he makes up by playing conflicted soul to the hilt.

By contrast, Anne Hathaway doesn’t leave as much of an impact despite an impassioned (read: weepy) portrayal of the frail, fatalistic Fantine. Amanda Seyfried (as the older Cosette) and Eddie Redmayne (as her suitor, the rebellious Marius Pontmercy) are efficient.

Sacha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter (the downright evil Thenardiers) bring their quirky brand of menace to the table yet again. Samantha Barks (as Eponine) is a revelation. Her rendition of ‘On My Own’ is actually more rivetting than Jackman’s ‘Suddenly’. Watch out for this one, she’s gonna go far!

Top-notch music (Claude-Michel Schonberg), cinematography (Danny Cohen) and production design (Eve Stewart and Anna Lynch-Robinson) add to the experience. To truly enjoy this film, be patient (the length IS an issue), persevere (in spite of the sing-song dialogue) and prevail (the film’s actually not as tedious as you’d expect a period historical musical to be).

According to our source, Sonakshi had not only been confirmed for the Hindi remake of the original Telugu hit, but she had had even taken the signing amount for the movie. As our source says, “Considering that Sonakshi had a hit in Son Of Sardaar and Dabangg 2 was releasing, Sajid Nadiadwala thought it would be great to repeat the Dabangg jodi for his movie too. And hence, he signed her on for his film, with which he’s also making his debut as a director, before the release of Dabangg 2.”

However, it seems the actress decided to up her fee after the release of her second film with Salman. Says our source, “Considering the opening weekend numbers of Dabangg 2, Sonakshi thought she should get paid more for her newest assignments.”

Unfortunately for her, Sajid Nadiadwala didn’t exactly share her enthusiasm. As our informer explains, “While Sajid knows she has become a big star, he felt Sonakshi didn’t really play such an important part in the success of Dabangg 2. So he’s said to have refused to give her an increment above the committed feel.”

The result of this disagreement over money matters saw Sonakshi lose the movie. It is believed that the filmmaker kept his actor-buddy Salman in the loop of these developments and consequently approached Deepika Padukone, never mind if her remuneration is higher than Sonakshi. Our source reasons, “Sajid felt that if he had to pay more to the heroine, then he might as well cast a bigger actress. And since Deepika hasn’t done any film with Salman, this jodi gives the movie an extra fresh touch with such a novel casting.”

Idon’t think I am a star, I consider myself like any other girl who is of my age. Others may be working in office and doing different jobs. Similarly I don’t think I am doing something different.. I am also working. For me it is like I am doing something that I love and enjoy just like others do. I don’t see anything different,” Deepika said in an interview. From her debut film ‘Om Shanti Om’ in 2007 to her upcoming release ‘Race 2’, Deepika’s journey has been eventful having worked with the likes of Prakash Jha and Imtiaz Ali.

“It has been learning experience. Every film teaches you something, every experience on every film set with every co-star teaches you something. You learn something new. I think the challenge is to keep working harder and doing better. I am enjoying my work,” she said.

“I feel today I have become a lot more comfortable. I think hard work and always trying to better myself is something that is an on-going process,” she added.

The 27-year-old feels one can achieve anything purely on basis of hard work. “I don’t think you need any kind of backing here in the industry. I think what you achieve in your life is the result of your own talent and hard work. I think I have been lucky and fortunate enough to work with good people starting with SRK and Farah Khan who gave me an amazing launch,” she said.

In November last year, Priyanka Chopra had started an online campaign asking people to be confident about repeating their clothes. In her new reality show ‘Kourtney And Kim Take Miami’, the 32-year-old opened up about her fertility problems after tests revealed that she had the egg reserves of a much older woman. Speaking before she got pregnant by Kanye, the socialite said that when she went to the doctor a couple of months ago, he took tests to check her hormones and levels, and everything was really suppressed and really low because she had been on birth control for so many years. However, she said that she wanted to have kids one day, so the doctor really suggested that she get off birth control.

Kim was shocked by the news, having always assumed she would have children. “I’m 31, and my egg levels came back as a woman that’s in my 50s. I’m concerned just hearing all this information of how every woman is born with a certain amount of eggs, and that number can never be increased. Maybe this just isn’t in the cards for me, and I’m freaking out a little bit,” the Daily Mail quoted her as saying. She had previously hinted that she had been diagnosed with fertility problems, even causing the conception of her unborn child a “miracle”.

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow is helping her friend actress Cameron Diaz make some major decisions. She has advised Diaz to give up men because her romantic liaisons distract her. “Gwyneth’s sorted out everything from finances to hooking her up with her trainer. She has also forced her to swear off sex for a year, saying men distract her focus,” thesun.co.uk quoted a source as saying. The two friends have been spotted together regularly in the past year and Paltrow, 40, previously hoped to find the perfect man for her bubbly pal. “Gwyneth is a nurturer. Cameron is bummed about being single, so Gwyneth sees her as a project. She’s trying to set her up with guys!” said the source.

Former child star Christina Ricci has turned fashion designer and created her own line of cosmetic bags. The 32-year-old has teamed up with bosses at “Make Up For Ever” to release a limited-edition pouch, which features black faux leather, gun metal studs and a red lip pattern. “I loved collaborating with Make Up For Ever on a custom makeup bag because I got to design something that actually holds everything I need on-the-go,” eonline.com quoted Ricci as saying. “My inspiration for the bag was hard rock meets couture, and I added a red lip motif to the geometric design since I love wearing red lipstick. Plus, I thought it would add a fun pop of colour,” she added.

Devang Dholakia will be directing Sunny Leone for his next action film. The erstwhile adult star, who has been seen in films which have used her sex quotient to sell their wares, will be seen in an action mode. The movie’s makers are keen to show a different dimension of the actress as they feel she has the potential to deliver. “Sunny threw a punch in the air when she heard the script. She also tried an aerial kick in glee. She was very excited about the prospect of doing an action film,” Dholakia recalls the actress’ reaction.

The director, who has made films like Tere Liye among others, says that his venture with Sunny is not like Charlie’s Angels, but is in a genre that is dark and grim as well. Titled Tina and Lolo, the movie is a story of friendship and bonding, with a good dose of action. While she was unavailable for comment, sources close to the actress confirmed that she will be a part of this film. It is learnt that Balaji Motion Pictures has instructed her not to talk about any other project till their film is released.
