BJANA Hosts a Massive, Colorful Holi Milan 2026, with 600 Participating

EDISON, NJ (TIP): The Bihar Jharkhand Association of North America (BJANA), a beloved non-profit cultural organization founded in 1975, hosted a massively successful Holi event at the Royal Albert Palace. The festive gathering drew families from Bihar and Jharkhand, with around 550 to 600 attendees, residing in several states of the USA, including New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut, blending vibrant traditions, community spirit, and the inauguration of the 2026-27 term.

The event launched with the announcement of Priti Kashyap as BJANA’s new President, alongside the newly elected leadership team: Sushant Krishen as Vice President, Priya Ranjan as Secretary, Bishwanath Sharma as Joint Secretary, Rakesh Kumar as Treasurer, Dipen Banerjee as Joint Treasurer, and Executive Members Sarika Dubey, Anish Anand, Dhananjay Singh, Komal Sharan, Ravindra Kumar, Lata Shree Shanker, Pankaj Pravawi, Mridula Kairab, Dhiraj Singh, Priti Singh and Dr. Avishek Kumar. An inspiring Holi speech by the prominent guests followed. Felicitations were offered to key contributors, including Nandini Singh, Rajeev Singh, Harsha Sinha, Rajiv Akhaury, and Arvind Prakash (event host).

The main program highlights included instrumental performances, singing, several kids’ group dances, classical vs. Bollywood dance, adult group dance, ladies’ group dance, skits, Fagua geet, and a glamorous ramp walk. It also included a mesmerizing skit that explained why Holi is celebrated, the “story of Prahlad,” which captivated the audience.

In this event, BJANA launched the BJANA Next Gen Youth program – connecting, empowering, and uplifting our youth like never before!

Priti Kashyap closed with a heartfelt speech, leading into SAT fellow awards, a thrilling lucky draw, final bouquet presentations, and a thank-you to sponsors.

BJANA’s new president, Priti Kashyap, was born in Ranchi, Jharkhand, and raised in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Priti Kashyap brings Mithila’s cultural warmth to her leadership role. Since moving to the U.S., she has found family in BJANA, now guiding its festivals, youth initiatives, networking, and philanthropy.
