Ajay Devgn’s film joins Rs 100 crore club in India

Actor Ajay Devgn’s film Dhamaal 4 has joined the Rs 100-crore club in India on its sixth day in cinemas. According to trade website Sacnilk, the film collected a nett of Rs 6.50 crore on Day 6 across 11,137 shows. That took its total India gross to Rs 107.11 crore, while its total India nett (gross minus taxes) stood at 89.75 crore.
The film also added Rs 1.25 crore overseas on Day 6, taking its total overseas gross to Rs 17.25 crore. Its worldwide gross collection now stands at Rs 124.36 crore. The sixth-day figure came after a strong start over the weekend and a drop in collections during the weekdays.
Dhamaal 4 opened with Rs 14 crore on Day 1, Friday. It then saw a jump over the weekend, earning Rs 22.50 crore on Day 2, Saturday, and Rs 28.50 crore on Day 3, Sunday. Collections fell to Rs 8.75 crore on Day 4, Monday, before rising to Rs 9.50 crore on Day 5, Tuesday. On Day 6, Wednesday, it earned Rs 6.50 crore, taking its six-day India net total to Rs 89.75 crore.
Directed by Indra Kumar, the film released on July 10. It stars Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Jaaved Jaaferi, Sanjay Mishra, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Anjali Anand, Upendra Limaye, Vijay Patkar and Ravi Kishan in key roles. The makers have also confirmed that Dhamaal 5 is in the works.
