Filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya announced his upcoming musical family entertainer, Yeh Prem Mol Liya, featuring actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari. The film, releasing on November 27, marks the comeback of Barjatya’s cherished character, Prem on the big screen after 12 years.
Ayushmann, in his first collaboration with Rajshri Productions, will be portraying the iconic Prem, embodying the character’s gentle simplicity and innocent mischief. Sharvari would also be paired opposite him for the first time while adapting the beauty, grit and other nuances of Rajshri’s female actors.
Rajshri Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films, in their joint Instagram post, wrote, “#SoorajBarjatya brings his next BIG Screen Family Entertainer! #YehPremMolLiya starring @ayushmannk and @sharvari, a @realhimesh musical! In Theatres – 27th November 2026. Save The Date (sic)!’
The note added by the production companies on Instagram, read, “We Have An Announcement!! This November, Rajshri Productions (P) Ltd. in association with Mahaveer Jain Films, brings to the BIG screen a family entertainer directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya titled – Yeh Prem Mol Liya starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari, a Himesh Reshammiya musical. In theatres 27th November 2026 – Save the date (sic)!”
Barjatya has also reunited with music composer Himesh Reshammiya after 12 years. Their last partnership was in the 2014 film, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, featuring actors Salman Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Swara Bhasker, Anupam Kher and others in key roles.
Rajshri Productions has collaborated with Mahaveer Jain Films for the post-Diwali release. Barjatya’s last theatrical release was the family-drama, Uunchai (2022), which won him the National Award for Best Director. The film featured actors Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Parineeti Chopra, Neena Gupta, Sarika, Danny Denzongpa and others in key roles. The story and characters of Yeh Prem Mol Liya have not yet been unveiled.
