  • CAMERON DIAZ BATS FOR MULTIPLE PARTNERS

CAMERON DIAZ BATS FOR MULTIPLE PARTNERS

Cameron Diaz finds it unreasonable to expect one man to understand all needs of a woman, and so, she feels it’s okay to have lots of partners. “For some reason, we get into relationships and we expect one man to understand ‘all’ the parts of us and meet all of those needs.

I think that’s where everything fails,” mirror.co.uk quoted Diaz as saying. Asked if having lots of partners was better, the single star added: “Why not? Why would that be so bad?” The 41-year-old star of “The Other Woman”, a film about fidelity, says she has multiple girlfriends. “We can have all of these girlfriends, all of these friendships. I know with my girlfriends I do totally different things with each one of them.

I have different conversations. We like things that others don’t like. “There are different commonalities in each one of them and when I want to do those certain things, I can go to that girlfriend and we do those things together. That’s perfectly fine that she doesn’t like to do the thousands of other things that I like to do. I’m perfectly okay with that with her,” she added.

  • KATRINA AWESTRUCK BY LUCKNOWI BRIDAL LOOK

KATRINA AWESTRUCK BY LUCKNOWI BRIDAL LOOK

Actress Katrina Kaif, who flaunts four Indian bridal looks for an ad, says she liked the Lucknowi avatar the most for its elegance and minimal yet glamorous look. In the new mango drink Slice Swayaamvar commercials, Katrina is seen in four bridal avatars, which were designed by well-known designer Anaita Shroff Adajania. The commercials highlight Slice’s three new variants chosen from across the country.

“It was a spectacular experience to dress as a multiple bride for this beautiful concept called Slice Swayaamvar. I love the fact that India has such a rich culture to borrow from when it comes to bridal splendor, and each region has its own trademark style,” Katrina, who mostly dresses up in western attire for films, said in a statement. “I was floored with all the looks, because each look is so traditional, yet has refreshing elements of modernity.

My personal favourite was the Lucknowi avatar as it is very elegant, minimal yet glamorous and akin to my style statement,” she added. For her generic bride look, Katrina donned a red lehenga, a long choli, and a red bindi. Princess styled kundan jewellery completed her look. As a Lucknowi bride, Katrina looks stunning in vintage shades of green and baby pink, created by a silent embroiderer in the Lucknowi gharana style, with a modern adah of crystals. A sharara with golden detailing and transparent sleeves completed her ensemble.

The “Dhoom:3” star drapes traditional Kanjivaram sari for the Southern look that was reinterpreted as a structured contemporary gown, with a 10-foot trail, along with heavy golden South Indian temple jewellery inspired mathapatti that completed her look as a royal South Indian bride. Katrina glows in a playful mirror worked waistcoat with multi-colour, layered skirt for the Gujarati look. Swarovski crystals framed her eyes.

Footloose heroines seem to be the flavour of the season and Jacqueline Fernandez is the latest one to join the brigade. The film is being directed by former movie critic Karan Anshuman who is currently in Ladakh finalising the locations. A source revealed, “Jacqueline plays an NRI.

She had made her Bollywood debut in Sujoy Ghosh’s Aladin opposite him in 2009. They also starred in Milap Zaveri’s Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai.

Anshuman’s crew will be heading to the Polish city of Krakow to shoot pivotal bits of the film When contacted, Karan Anshuman confirmed the news saying, “I wanted to cast Jacqueline as her global experience gives her a great edge. She’s lived all over the world and that gives her good insight.”

  • KIM KARDASHIAN SLAMS RUMOURS OF SIX-HOUR SPA TREATMENTS

KIM KARDASHIAN SLAMS RUMOURS OF SIX-HOUR SPA TREATMENTS

Socialite Kim Kardashian has denied indulging in six-hour spa treatments on a daily basis and said she’d rather use that much time to be with her daughter North. “I see the hotel I stayed at gave quotes that I had six-hour spa treatments daily.

The hotel was gorgeous and had amazing service, but not once did I get a massage… “Never once did I get a manicure or any other spa treatment. Not one! So, I really don’t appreciate false information making me out to be a diva,” mirror.co.uk quoted Kardashian, who recently visited Thailand, as saying.

“But even if family members got spa treatments they should because we were on vacation! Like I get it, they want to promote their gorgeous resort and spa, but just don’t lie. I would rather spend six hours a day with my family and daughter, not in spa treatments,” she added.

Jennifer Aniston to bring ‘Friends’ to Broadway?

Actress Jennifer Aniston is reportedly thinking of turning “Friends” into a “billion dollar” Broadway musical. The 45-year-old is reportedly in “deep talks” to help turn the sitcom, which ran from 1994 until 2004, into a “billion dollar” musical, starring Lea Michele, and wants her friend Sheryl Crow to oversee the project.

“Jen has completely fallen in love with the idea of a Broadway-ready ‘Friends’ musical,” contactmusic.com quoted a source as saying. “It’s even gotten to the point where she’s had some deep talks with her friend Sheryl Crow about creating ’90s style music for the project, which of course would feature an entirely new crop of actors playing young versions of the now 40-something ‘Friends’ stars,” the source added.

  • CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER

    CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER

STORY: Captain America realizes that S.H.I.E.L.D has been compromised by an internal group and soon, he will have to face a formidable enemy created in the Soviet Union during the Cold War era – the Winter Soldier.

REVIEW: Captain America (Evans) is an embodiment of a set of values – truth, honesty, courage and so on that were predominant during the ’40s. He never loses sight of that in contemporary times, despite some good-natured ribbing from Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett) and war veteran Sam Wilson (Mackie), whom he befriends during a morning jog.

During an action sequence where Rogers, Romanoff and members of the Strike team are called upon to rescue a S.H.I.E.L.D ship from French-Algerian pirates, Rogers notices Romanoff downloading classified data from the ship’s computers. That, along with a subsequent meeting with Nick Fury (Jackson), makes him question S.H.I.E.L.D’s validity and his own role in it, especially when it comes to ‘Operation: Insight’, the brainchild of thesuper-secret group HYDRA.

‘Insight’ involves a trio of surveillance ‘Helicarriers’ linked to spy satellites that can eliminate all kinds of ‘threats’ (read: a metaphor for totalitarian control by the state) with lethal fire from the sky. It’s hard not to interpret this as a reference to modern-day drone warfare. In fact, there are quite a few visual metaphors and cross-references from the Marvel universe scattered throughout the film.

There is also a barely-concealed dig at the God-like superhero dialogues. “Man, shut the hell up,” is what Wilson snaps at Brock Rumlow (Grillo) when the latter starts pontificating during a fight. And no Marvel fan should miss the legendary Stan Lee’s nifty cameo. Robert Redford plays the smooth bad guy Alexander Pierce with panache.

While Romanoff adds some playful sex appeal, Captain America is a lot more aggressive in this outing as he takes on the Winter Soldier (Stan) and increasingly uses his shield as an offensive weapon. Rogers might not have Batman’s toys, Tony Stark’s wisecracks or Superman’s strength, but he is the most ‘human’. This ranks among the finest in the superhero genre.

  • DAD IS POSSESSIVE, DOESN’T WANT ME TO GET MARRIED: ALIA

DAD IS POSSESSIVE, DOESN’T WANT ME TO GET MARRIED: ALIA

Actress Alia Bhatt says her father and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt is possessive about her, but adds that he has taken her onscreen kissing with Arjun Kapoor in the forthcoming film “2 States” practically. “Like every father, who don’t want their daughters to get married, even my father is the same,” Alia said in a group interview.

“Recently, my father told us (Alia and her sister Shaheen) you all can’t go anywhere, I will lock you up in a room. He is honest and blunt about the fact that he doesn’t want us to get married. “He is not saying just like that, he means it. He is very possessive and he doesn’t want me to get married. If my sister’s boyfriends get me some present, he would say – even I can get presents, I will get you two,” she added.

Currently, the actress is looking forward to her forthcoming film “2 States”. She has a kissing scene in the film and when asked about her “possessive” father’s reaction on the same, she said: “But he knows I am acting but, if I kiss my boyfriend in front of him, he will slap me. “It’s in the scene and I am not doing it to irritate him. It’s a family film and the scene is just for three seconds.” Directed by Abhishek Verman, “2 States” is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s bestseller of the same name and the actress has read the book three times.

She said: “I have to be as natural as possible. I read the book three times before we started shooting.” Alia says that when she read the book for the first time, she felt it could be made into a good film. “I knew Arjun was on board but I never thought I will be part of the film. I got a call for a look test and the point being that I should look good with Arjun. I was hoping it comes to me and it did. It’s a big achievement for me,” she said.

The actress, who garnered rave reviews for her performance in her last release “Highway”, says there was a reason behind doing “2 States”. “After ‘Highway’ I wanted people to say I am an actor and that I am not here to be a star. I would not like to be five or six films old so I want to make sure I am an actor,” she said.

SONAKSHI SINHA FOND OF ANIMATION FILMS

Actress Sonakshi Sinha, who has dubbed for the Hindi version of Hollywood animation film “Rio 2”, says such works have always caught her fancy. “I have not grown up on movies.

I didn’t watch much films in my childhood but I was fond of animation films,” Sonakshi told reporters here Monday at the screening of “Rio 2” that she had organised for underprivileged children of Smile foundation. “Till today I am fond of such films. You can see I am a part of ‘Rio 2’.

I am very excited. In fact, I have come along with my team to watch this film,” she added. Sonakshi has dubbed for the character Jewel in “Rio 2”, while actor Imran Khan did it for Blu. “Rio 2”, a sequel to the 2011 hit animation film “Rio”, is an adventure comedy set in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro.

  • Main Tera Hero

    Main Tera Hero

STORY: Seenu loves Sunaina but they’re chased by a stalking cop, an infatuated beauty and her mafia don dad – can Seenu’s heroics work?

REVIEW: Main Tera Hero (MTH) is a glittering vehicle for star son Varun Dhawan to drive, which he does with practiced panache. However, even more than Junior, MTH has his dad David Dhawan stamped all over it. Hence, eternally smiling Seenu (Varun) is unfazed by failure or goons. Seenu pauses from cheeky grinning only to dance and romance, falling for Sunaina (Ileana), stalked by violent Angad (Arunoday) and sidekick Peter (Rajpal).

More superhero than hero, Seenu shows Angad his mean fight moves, but finds himself captured by ardent Ayesha (Nargis), whose ‘Dadduz’ Vikrant (Kher) is the biggest don of Asia and Africa too! How can Seenu get out of so many clutches? This being a David Dhawan movie, things get complicated but never grim.

Thus, MTH’s mafia dons are portly, chuckling men, the hero expresses love by asking, “Do you want to make the frandship with me?”, Ayesha makes Seenu recall Basanti pawed by Veeru, and that lovely 1990s’ filmi word – “Unkil!” – resounds once again. Seenu even does a brilliant bhajan take-off on Budtameez Dil. The plot is familiar Dhawan territory – one boy, two babes, a mansion and many clowns – but with new landmarks, from plunging bikinis to lipglossed kisses, thrown in.

Varun meshes Govinda, Michael Jackson and his own madness well. He gets better in a stronger second half, bolstered by gorgeous Nargis pouting, “Thenk you, Dadduz!” and the banter between Kher and snarling subordinate Bally (Shukla). Arunodaya surprises – the actor’s evolved, pulling off threats and blushes to comic effect. Those seeking movies with meaning, note – Main Tera Hero is a pav bhaji picture, quick, spicy, hot. It has the depth of a comic strip but it also has its neon-shaded fun. For those who want a light laugh, here’s your boy

  • MORE DIFFICULT TO WORK WITH FAMILY: SONAM

MORE DIFFICULT TO WORK WITH FAMILY: SONAM

Actress Sonam Kapoor, who has again teamed up with her actor-father Anil Kapoor and sister Rhea in ‘Khoobsurat’ after ‘Aisha’, says it’s not easy to work with family members. “It’s more difficult to work with your family because they have high expectations from you… You have to be on your best behaviour, you need to be on time, remember all your lines….

“We had Kirron Kher, Ratna Pathak in the film, so it was amazing. I had a great time,” Sonam said. She will play Mili in the remake of the 1980 movie “Khubsoorat”, which starred Rekha. She says Rekha is incredible and she wants to be like her. “I finished (filming) ‘Khoobsurat’. It was amazing and will release this year.

No, we don’t have her (Rekha) making a guest appearance unfortunately, but she is one of my family’s closest friends. We always need her blessings,” said Sonam. “That day when we were at the launch together she said let’s take a picture so, that was our ‘Khoobsurat’ moment. It’s so sweet of her to say that. She is incredible. I hope to achieve at least 20 percent of what she has achieved. She is awesome. I want to look like her,” she added.

Kangana Ranaut was in a mood to indulge and help indulge at the success bash of Queen as she advised all the crew members to have a good time. Rajkummar Rao, director Vikas Bahl and the rest of the film’s team took her advice and partied hard. She told us, “Now I want to do other things in life, like write a book, open a cafe, travel and not go on a signing spree.”

Dressed in a blush gown, she was inundated with compliments for her on-screen work and off-screen look. Coincidentally, Taylor Swift too had worn the same gown a year ago.

  • Dishkiyaoon

    Dishkiyaoon

STORY: A young boy aspires to become a don when he grows up because he believes in settling scores as opposed to leading a life of Ahimsa.

Review: Viki Kartoos (Harman Baweja) is a scarred child. He has lost his mother early in life and leads a loveless existence. His father, Rajit Kapur, advocates the ways of the Mahatma—asking his son to show his other cheek to some fat school bully who smacks him day in and day out. Beyond that, daddy dearest has no time for sonny boy. Surprisingly, he doesn’t even seem to notice his child’s continuously smacked cheeks.

And in what is ridiculous and retarded, the father, who is constantly talking into a phone at the dinner table, notices a gun on his son, many moons after Viki has begun spending time with a local hoodlum Tony Mota (Prashant Narayan). The goon grooms the boy to be “his bullet” to be used when the time is right. And, as one mentioned earlier, dad callously throws son out on the street and into the Mafioso Tony’s hands without an iota of emotion.

The boy too has no remorse about choosing a life of crime. Almost making it seem like he has chosen candy. Though he is born middle-class and respectable, he happily apes Rocky, Tony, Khaleefa and such others. Please note, none of the mafia dons instill fear, nor do they endear. They just talk, shoot and then talk some more, lulling you into sleep.

For an action thriller, the narrative pace is so languid, you can take your popcorn and pee break between the times when two bullets are fired. Lakwa (Sunny Deol) with a ridiculous North-Indian accent, sporting an unibrow and facial fuzz shows up in a wasted special appearance. Shilpa Shetty Kundra, the producer, shakes her booty in an item song with the end credits. After you have bitten this bullet for two hours, her dance soothes you, albeit for a wee bit.

According to the Daily Star, the 27-yearold actress, who is documenting her recovery from substance abuse for the Oprah Winfrey Network, said in the series’ latest episode that she likes doing that kind of workout as she sweats more doing that than yoga or treadmill.

  • GWYNETH PALTROW WANTS ANOTHER BOYFRIEND POST SPLIT?

GWYNETH PALTROW WANTS ANOTHER BOYFRIEND POST SPLIT?

Gwyneth Paltrow wants to ”have fun” following her split from Chris Martin. The couple announced their separation this week after 10 years of marriage, and it is said the ‘Iron Man 3’ actress is ”ready” for another relationship, wanting to enjoy herself rather than get down over the break-up. An source told The Sun newspaper: ”She is ready to have another boyfriend.

She’s very much about having fun.” The blonde beauty – who has children Apple, nine, and Moses, seven, with the Coldplay singer – has also used her Goop website’s online newsletter to thank fans for their support during this tough time. She wrote: ”CM and I in deep gratitude for the support of so many.” The couple described their break-up as an ”unconscious coupling”, and made the announcement earlier this week as they insisted they were ”closer” than ever.

They said: ”It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate. ”We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate. ”We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been.”

  • NOAH

    NOAH

STORY: Based on the Old Testament tale from the Bible, Noah is chosen by God to build an Ark as a shelter for a male and female pair of every living creature on Earth in preparation for an apocalyptic yet cleansing flood. REVIEW: Noah (Crowe) knows that the flip side of him being chosen to save all that is pure and innocent (read: the entire animal kingdom and only his family) is that he will have to make some really tough decisions, like turning away tons of people who also seek safety in the Ark.

His father Methuselah (Hopkins, brilliant) prepares Noah for the task over a conversation, after which Noah then returns to Naameh (Connelly) and his sons Shem (Booth), Ham (Lerman) and Japeth (Carroll) with the divine message. A group of Watchers led by Samyazaa (Nolte) help Noah build the gigantic Ark. But the latter’s nemesis Tubal-Cain (Winstone) believes that there’s no point in blind acceptance of one’s fate. But Noah, for all his devotion to duty, is all too aware of his own inner frailties.

Nonetheless, as a domineering patriarchal figure, he would even sacrifice his own family if need be, for the greater cause. The Satan-like Cain’s ideological clash with Noah centers around the former’s belief that there is nothing wrong for humans to do what they need to in order to survive and multiply. After dealing with all of this, Noah is exhausted by the time the Ark finally reaches Ararat.

Although Aronofsky has dipped liberally into the well of fantasy in his recreation of Noah’s tale, he does it in a manner that serves up a quasi-modern story laced generously with allegory and backed by some solid, nononsense performances. He does not go overboard on religious subject matter and instead, chooses to give the movie a more human, moralistic direction.

There’s even an interesting montage describing the origin of the universe. Watson puts in her most mature performance to date as Ila (Shem’s wife). All in all, a lush visual spectacle told on a fittingly grand scale.

GWYNETH PALTROW, CHRIS MARTIN ANNOUNCE SEPARATION

LOS ANGELES (TIP): Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin are separating after more than 10 years of marriage, according to a message posted on the “Iron Man” actress’s blog. Paltrow, 41, and the 37-year-old musician married in 2003. They have two children: 9- year-old daughter Apple and 7-year-old son Moses.

“We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate,” read the message titled “Conscious Uncoupling” on Goop.com.

It was signed by both Paltrow and Martin, and a spokeswoman for Martin confirmed the separation. “We are parents first and foremost, to two incredibly wonderful children, and we ask for their and our space and privacy to be respected at this difficult time,” the message also said.

“We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and co-parent, we will be able to continue in the same manner.” Martin, the Grammy-winning lead vocalist of Coldplay, and Paltrow, who won an Oscar for her performance in “Shakespeare in Love,” were among Hollywood’s highest profile couples. The duo frequently accompanied each other to public events, such as this year’s Golden Globes ceremony and the Help Haiti Home gala earlier this year, but they rarely posed together on red carpets.

  • SARAH JESSICA PARKER INSPIRED BY STREET FASHION

SARAH JESSICA PARKER INSPIRED BY STREET FASHION

Actress Sarah Jessica Parker says her style is inspired by “women on the street”. The “Sex And The City” star’s fashion sense was slammed last week after she was spotted wearing stirrup tights, but she didn’t consider it to be a fashion faux pas.

“It’s been so cold in New York that bare legs seemed almost undoable…So, I started wearing tights, then I saw a woman in Seattle wearing stirrups with a pump and thought, ‘Maybe I’ll start wearing them with a strap shoe’,” contactmusic.com quoted Parker as saying. “I am often inspired by women on the street whose names I’ll never know,” she added. The 48-year-old fashion icon says she is unsure if the look will become a trend or not. “I don’t know if they’ll catch on,” Grazia magazine quoted her as saying.

  • Need For Speed

    Need For Speed

STORY: Tobey Marshall (Paul) and friends are struggling to keep their garage business from going broke. He reluctantly accepts an offer from wealthy ex-NASCAR driver Dino Brewster (Cooper) to soup up a Ford Mustang for a big price. However, Tobey soon finds himself in a race that’s about revenge as well as redemption.

REVIEW: Aaron Paul’s (of Breaking Bad fame) character Tobey is loosely reminiscent of Ryan Gosling’s look in ‘Drive’, minus the gore. He speaks very little and prefers to put the pedal to the metal. His friends Maverick (Mescudi), Joe Peck (Rodriguez), Pete (Gilbertson), Finn (Malek) and him make a living by modifying and racing muscle cars.

But the money’s barely enough, so when Paul’s former rival Dino pays them a visit, he offers Tobey 25% to trick out the Mustang, valued at $2million. While Tobey’s pals are incredulous about the idea, he is more pragmatic and accepts, knowing that the money could really come in handy for the garage. They do the modification so well that an exotic cars investor called Julia Maddon (Poots), whom they meet at a party, is impressed and says she’d buy it for $3 million if it can exceed 230 mph.

When the car clocks 234 mph, the deal is done. But simmering tensions between suave bad boy Dino and righteous Tobey come to a head during a race when Dino, Pete and Tobey race three illegally imported Koenigsegg Agera supercars. Tobey is double crossed by Dino and the former ends up serving a two-year prison sentence.

When Tobey leaves the slammer, all he desires is vengeance – preferably on a racetrack and in fourth gear. The setting for this ‘battle royale’ is the big ticket De Leon race organized by a reclusive individual called Monarch (Keaton). Although light on plot and performances, the film delivers exactly what it promises. Devoid of CGI, the races you see are real and the stunts, really well done. Apart from Paul’s promising performance, it’s the supercharged cars that tear up the asphalt and steal the show in this one.

  • AISHWARYA, SUSHMITA SEN TOGETHER ON SCREEN?

AISHWARYA, SUSHMITA SEN TOGETHER ON SCREEN?

Soon after Aishwarya Rai gave birth to her daughter Aaradhya, speculations about the actress’ comeback have often been suggested in many entertainment dailies. She has reportedly shown interest in adman Prahlad Kakkad’s directorial debut, Happy Anniversary, where, if all goes by the plan, she will be seen starring opposite her real life husband Abhishek Bachchan.

The duo is currently going through the script of the film, to be produced by Gaurang Doshi, and is soon expected to sign on the dotted line. In a recent development, Kakkad has approached Sushmita Sen to play a substantial supporting role in the same film. A few days ago, he met the actress and according to sources, she has loved the part offered. Confirming this development Kakkad told Mirror, “If all goes well, we should have Sushmita in Happy Anniversary.

It will be a pleasure to work with her.” One of the most talked-about cold wars of Bollywood was that of Sushmita and Aishwarya’s. It dates back to 1994, when Sushmita won the Miss India crown beating the strongfavourite Aishwarya and went on to win the Miss Universe title, while Aishwarya, the first runners-up, was adjudged Miss World. But according to a source close to the film, the rivalry is long over. “If both are satisfied with the length and quality of their respective roles, they won’t allow their personal equation to come in the way,” a source said. Kakkad will give Sushmita the script next week.

“She wants to read it and judge the role for herself. Fair enough!” he quips. Her character is that of a woman caught in a bad marriage who eventually breaks free. Aishwarya’s character starts off as a 21-year old and the story unfolds over the next eight years. The film will later also see her pregnant with twins. Happy Anniversary deals with marital issues and will be largely shot in South Africa. Aishwarya is currently trying to lose a few more kilos before facing the camera. And according to a friend, could start shooting for a Mani Ratnam film soon.

I FEEL VERY FREE WITH VARUN: NARGIS FAKHRI

Nargis Fakhri says she doesn’t have many friends in Mumbai. “Maybe like three, if I had to say. But that’s okay. I have made Mumbai or Bollywood my office; I have to understand that I am a stranger, though many years have passed. So, I treat it as my office and the people like my colleagues.

Though we say, ‘Oh, we are friends’, we aren’t because we haven’t built a proper foundation,” the actress says. Does she count Varun Dhawan, her coactor in upcoming Main Tera Hero, among her few friends? Nargis explains, “He is as honest a person as I am. I feel very free with him. If I say something weird, he will either save me or say something sillier. He would be a nice friend, but let’s see. When Varun is free, he has to spend time with his family and his real friends.”

  • Ragini MMS 2

    Ragini MMS 2

STORY: Ghosts from the past resurface while the infamous ‘Ragini MMS’ scandal (from the prequel) is being filmed as a story for celluloid.

REVIEW: Hold onto your pants as Erotica meets Eerie in a sequel that traces Ragini’s haunted past. Rewind: Uday and Ragini’s dirty, horny weekend in an isolated house turned into a horrifying threesome – when a ghost interrupted their sexcapade.

Uday disappeared and Ragini landed up in a mental asylum. Now the sequel begins. Sleazy, over-zealous filmmaker Rocks (Parvin) is so ‘turned on’ by the story that he wants to adopt it for celluloid. He casts seductress Sunny Leone (played by Sunny Leone) in the lead because he’s impressed with her ‘body’ of work (perv!).

He chooses the actual location of the ‘Ragini’ incident for the film and moves his crew into the haunted haveli. There, in between ‘knicks’ (undies) and ‘knocks’ (uh huh!), smooches, sizzling showers and dirty games – the ghost turns up. Patel’s ‘Ragini MMS 2’, pitched as a ‘horrex’ (horror+sex) film, offers screams, sighs and moans (read: erotic!), delivering more sexual delights than horrifying drama.

Picture this: Sunny fakes an orgasm (really now?), talks dirty talk in bed and lip-locks with a woman (want more?). Well, there’s humour too with telly actor Maddy’s (Karan) lusty longings and Monali’s (Sandhya) ‘verny’ angrezi which goes – ‘shits ya’ and ‘so worst ya’. The film provides the usual creepy cliches – creaking windows, ghostly shadows and bedraggled bhoots. There are a few spooky moments, but fewer leapout- of-your-seat scenes.

Sunny looks deathly desirable and plays the sexed-up baby doll with abandon. While her ‘act’ is good, her ‘performance’ doesn’t really climax. Yet, she gives us a ‘drool-worthy’ adult-horror film – one of its kind for Bollywood. Parvin and Karan are entertaining, Saahil is average, Divya (as a psychiatrist) stays trapped in an unconvincing role. For horror-buffs this might not be ‘spookilicious’ enough, but those looking for a ‘sun-sunny’ weekend, go lap it up!

    3 DAYS TO KILL

STORY: CIA agent Ethan Renner (Costner) wants to retire and reconnect with his wife Christine (Nielsen) and daughter Zoey (Steinfeld). Before he can, he is tasked with one final dangerous mission. REVIEW: McG has many music videos as well as films like Terminator: Salvation and Charlie’s Angels Full Throttle to his credit.

Here, he ropes in Costner for a surprisingly fun flick, written by Luc Besson and Adi Hasak. The film manages to combine elements of camp with a vamp CIA assassin called Vivi Delay (Heard), father-daughter bonding, teenage angst, humour and car chases down cobbled streets and Parisian pavements. Renner finds out that he has terminal cancer one day. Faced with this eventuality, he moves back to Paris where his wife and daughter live, to spend some quality time with them.

His Parisian apartment, however, is inhabited by a family of African squatters. So, he has no choice but to move in with Christine till the squatters move out after a stipulated time. While Renner tries to get reacquainted with Zoey, Vivi tracks him down near a market one afternoon, and makes him an offer he can’t refuse – nab a dangerous arms trafficker called The Wolf (Sammel) and his lieutenant called The Albino (Lemarquis). In return, she offers him the elixir of life – a potion delivered in a syringe which looks like it was nicked from a kid’s chemistry set.

Combining a catwoman bodysuit with over-the-top innuendoes – suggestively straddling his lap while injecting him with the medicine, lascivious movements, puns about making him feel good – these aren’t the only things that make Renner’s heart race. The medicine too gets his heartbeat up and Vivi tells him that generous slugs of vodka are the antidote to that. The villains look like stock Cold War era villains handpicked from the 70s. It all leads to a showdown between Renner and The Wolf at the unlikeliest of events. Lighthearted while managing to mix a torture scene with a recipe for spaghetti sauce, the film’s myriad elements come together with a deft touch, without losing the plot.
