The trailer of Awarapan 2 was released on August 6, bringing back actor Emraan Hashmi as Shivam Pandit nearly 19 years after the first film. Actor Disha Patani has also joined the cast as Zara, adding a new layer to Shivam’s journey.
The upcoming film sets up a darker story of pain, rage and revenge, with Shivam returning to face consequences left unresolved earlier.
The promo places Shivam in a world driven by vengeance and redemption, while returning to the emotional tone associated with the franchise. Emraan Hashmi appears as an older, scarred Shivam, still carrying the weight of his past. The trailer also highlights action and music as central parts of the film’s narrative.
Alongside Hashmi and Disha Patani, veteran actor Shabana Azmi features as Nafisa. The trailer also introduces actors Puran Gabbi as Zorawar, Anirudh Rawal as Sikandar, Surendar Vicky as Jaideep, Vijayant Kohli as Mehmood, and Atul Kumar as Samarth. Together, these key characters set the stage for Shivam’s return.
The music of Awarapan 2 has been composed by Mithoon, Jeet Gannguli, Amaal Malik, Ankit Sachdev and Wasif Ahmad, with lyrics by Sayeed Qadri, Rashmi Virag, Akhil Sachdeva and Sachin Singh Chandel.
The album has already featured Ve Junoon, Yeh Awarapan and Toh Phir Aao, with more songs still to come. Tera Mera Rishta, composed by Mithoon and sung by Saaj Bhatt and Subodhh Sharma, runs through the trailer and connects its emotional and action-focused moments.
Mukesh Bhatt and Vishesh Films present Awarapan 2, produced by Vishesh Bhatt, directed by Nitin Kakkar and written by Bilal Siddiqui.
The film is set for a worldwide theatrical release on August 14, 2026, with Pen Marudhar handling All India theatrical distribution.
