Kajol suggests marriages should come with expiry date, renewal option
Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle is set to host Vicky Kaushal and Kriti Sanon recently appeared in the latest episode. During the show, a lively discussion unfolded when Kajol, who is married to Ajay Devgn, shared her belief that marriages should come with an expiry date and an option for renewal.
During the This or That segment, Twinkle posed the question, “Should marriage have an expiry date and a renewal option?” Kriti, Vicky, and Twinkle all disagreed, standing in the red zone, while Kajol supported the idea and moved to the green zone.
“No, it’s marriage, not a washing machine,” Twinkle quipped. Kajol countered, “I definitely think so. What guarantees that you’ll marry the right person at the right time? A renewal option would make sense and if there’s an expiry date, no one has to suffer for too long.” She even tried to persuade Twinkle to join her in the green zone.
The next statement was, “Money can buy happiness.” This time, Twinkle and Vicky agreed and stepped into the green zone, while Kajol disagreed. “No matter how much money you have, it can actually become an impediment. It numbs you to the true idea of happiness,” Kajol explained. After some reflection, Kriti admitted that money could buy happiness at least to a certain extent.
Later in the game, Twinkle declared, “Best friends shouldn’t date each other’s exes,” and playfully wrapped an arm around Kajol. “We have an ex in common, but we can’t say,” she teased as they both stood in the green zone. Kajol immediately laughed and told her to “shut up” before any secrets were revealed.
Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle was one of the most anticipated celebrity talk shows to premiere this year. Hosted by Kajol and Twinkle Khanna, the show has featured a star-studded lineup of guests from the Bollywood industry. Big names like Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Saif Ali Khan have brought their trademark charm and wit to the couch. Younger stars such as Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Ananya Panday added youthful energy, while Farah Khan, Manish Malhotra, Govinda, Chunky Panday and Sonakshi Sinha shared hilarious stories and heartfelt moments. -

Yami backs Deepika Padukone’s 8-hour shift
Actor Yami Gautam has supported Deepika Padukone’s ask for an 8-hour shift demand, saying that it has been ‘happening for decades.’ Speaking with Times Now News, Yami said that there are actors who shoot for “only eight hours a day, shoot five days a week, they don’t do night shoots”. She added that it is “pre-decided among the director, producer and the actor.”
Yami said that whether a woman is “working or a homemaker, every mother is special and does everything she can for her child.” She said, “As much as we would like a time cap like any other field, but ours is a little different. Locations, permissions, permutations, combinations, other actors, technicians, there are so many things. So this whole concept of time cap, for me is very subjective to an actor, a producer and a director collaboration and the understanding.” The actor said that actors have been following the time cap for years and asked why a female actor is being questioned. “This is something that has been happening for decades. There are actors who shoot for only eight hours a day, shoot five days a week, they don’t do night shoots. This is pre-decided among the director, producer and the actor. So why is it that if a female actor has said, it has become an issue. At the end of the day we are human beings making art and emotions in very odd circumstances. So I don’t think there is anything wrong on asking about time if it suits the production. If it suits, they go ahead with it, if it doesn’t, they don’t,” she added.
Recently, Deepika Padukone exited from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit due to her alleged demand for an eight-hour workday. -

Malaika Arora defends Bollywood dance numbers
Malaika Arora, known for her iconic dance performances in Bollywood, has spoken about the evolution of dance numbers in Indian cinema. In an interview, she shared her perspective on how these performances have transformed over the years, addressing both industry trends and public debate about their role and impact. Her insights highlight shifts in how such sequences are conceived and perceived by both filmmakers and audiences.
Discussing her career trajectory, Malaika reflected on the journey of dance numbers, noting that they have significantly changed since she began. She acknowledged that these routines have sparked debate for years, particularly regarding their narrative relevance and alleged promotion of vulgarity. Despite the controversies, Malaika believes that item songs have come a “long way”.
She explained to Hollywood Reporter, the earlier approach to dance numbers, stating, “Earlier, they were mostly about glamour and spectacle, often detached from a woman’s individuality. Today, filmmakers are more conscious they integrate these numbers into stories with stronger character context. It’s less about being provocative and more about performance and presence. I see it as an evolution where women can own their space.”
Malaika also addressed the ongoing association of item songs with the male gaze, acknowledging its prevalence but highlighting her own outlook. She said, “Yes, item songs have often been linked to the male gaze, but I’ve always looked at them differently. For me, dance is about confidence and expression. When I perform, I focus on enjoying the moment and bringing my own energy to it. As long as I feel comfortable and in control, that’s what matters most. It’s about celebrating the art and having fun with it rather than overthinking the labels.”
Her recent appearance in the dance number ‘Poison Baby’ in the film ‘Thamma’, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, marks her continued presence in the industry. She noted that her performance in the song was about “showing that you can stay relevant and passionate at any stage”.
Reflecting on age and longevity in her career, Malaika stated, “age doesn’t define your capacity to perform or inspire.” She emphasised that experience and ongoing enthusiasm are equally important for an artiste.
Malaika’s views come as conversations about representation and meaning in Bollywood dance numbers persist. She underscored the importance of artistic expression and self-assurance for performers, irrespective of prevailing stereotypes.
Alongside her dance career, Malaika is also a judge on the reality series ‘India’s Got Talent’, sharing the panel with Shaan and Navjot Singh Sidhu. Her continued involvement in entertainment highlights her enduring relevance in the industry. -

De De Pyaar De 2 trailer: Ajay Devgn’s rom-com sequel picks up where first film left off
It’s turning out to be the year of sequels for Ajay Devgn. Following the success of ‘Raid 2’, the trailer for his next sequel, ‘De De Pyaar De 2’, has just been released. The romantic comedy picks up exactly where the 2019 original ended, continuing the story of Aashish (Devgn) and his much younger girlfriend, Ayesha (Rakul Preet Singh), as they navigate family dynamics and societal expectations.
The trailer introduces Aashish meeting Ayesha’s parents, played by R Madhavan and Gautami Kapoor.
