David Dhawan is returning to the director’s chair with ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’. Headlined by his son Varun Dhawan, the rom-com also stars Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde, and has a new release date. Instead of April 2026, the film has now been scheduled to hit the big screen on June 5, 2026. Announcing the release date, the makers of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai wrote on Instagram, “Drama bhi hona hai, comedy bhi – kyunki jab ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ in cinemas on 5th June 2026.”
Recently, Varun and Pooja featured in a hilarious video. He was playfully teasing his ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ co-star in the fun behind-the-scenes clip. The clip opened with Pooja putting something in her eyes and claiming, “Varun is making me cry”. When he asked the makeup artist what techniques they were using, Pooja shared, “It’s a secret. We can’t tell you.”
