    Embassy of India in Romania Organizes B2B on Information Technology & Communications

    BUCHAREST (TIP): The Embassy of India successfully organized a Business-to-Business (B2B) meeting on Information Technology & Communications (IT&C) with Romanian companies to explore avenues for collaboration and partnership in the IT sector. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the Romanian IT industry and served as an important platform for strengthening India-Romania cooperation in the technology domain.

    Two eminent industry leaders from India participated as lead speakers: Mr. Sandeep Narula, Chairman (Global Outreach), and Mr. Gurmeet Singh, Director & CEO of the Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC India). Their presence added significant value to the discussions and provided industry-driven insights into India’s rapidly growing IT ecosystem.

    The B2B meeting was held in a physical format, with more than 30 potential Romanian IT companies participating actively and demonstrating strong interest in exploring partnerships with Indian counterparts. The session commenced with special remarks by the Ambassador of India to Romania, Dr. Manoj Kumar Mohapatra, who highlighted the robust growth of India’s IT sector and its emergence as a global technology and innovation hub. The Ambassador also expressed his appreciation to the special guests who travelled from India to participate in the B2B meeting and formally honored them for their contributions.

    Addressing the participants, Ambassador Dr. Manoj Kumar Mohapatra emphasized India’s strengths in IT services, software development, digital innovation, and skilled human resources. He expressed confidence that Romanian companies would explore concrete trade and investment opportunities with Indian firms. The Ambassador reiterated India’s position as a reliable global partner in the IT sector and encouraged Romanian companies to consider sourcing, collaboration, and joint ventures with Indian IT enterprises. Indian companies, in turn, invited Romanian firms to visit India to gain firsthand exposure to their IT infrastructure and facilities. Impressed by the presentations and discussions, several Romanian companies expressed keen interest in visiting India.

    During the session, Mr. Sandeep Narula briefed participants on the rapid expansion of India’s IT industry, driven by key Government of India initiatives and digital transformation projects that are positioning the country at the forefront of global technology development. He delivered a detailed presentation on the achievements and role of ESC India in promoting electronics and software exports with strong government support. He also addressed numerous questions raised by Romanian IT companies and extended a formal invitation to the Romanian IT industry to participate in India Soft 2026, a major international technology exhibition scheduled for March 23-25 in New Delhi, to experience Indian IT capabilities firsthand and forge concrete partnerships.

    Mr. Gurmeet Singh highlighted the sustained growth trajectory of India’s IT sector and its potential to emerge as one of the leading global IT hubs in the years to come. He emphasized the opportunities available for international collaboration and underlined ESC India’s commitment to facilitating partnerships between Indian and Romanian companies.

    One of the enthusiastic participants from ANIS Romania (@ANIS_RO), Mr. Edward Creescu, President, addressed the gathering and shared data-driven insights highlighting the robust and rapidly expanding Romanian IT sector. He expressed strong interest in visiting India to gain firsthand exposure to India’s dynamic IT ecosystem and conveyed his keen willingness to participate in India Soft 2026 (March 23-25, New Delhi), further strengthening avenues for India-Romania collaboration in the technology sector.

    The Embassy of India reaffirmed its continued commitment to strengthening economic and commercial ties between India and Romania, particularly in priority sectors such as information technology and communications.     Embassy of India in Guatemala in collaboration with ESC organizes Business Meet between Indian and Guatemalan Companies in Electronics & IT Sector

    GUATEMALA CITY (TIP): The Embassy of India in Guatemala, in collaboration with the Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC), successfully organized a hybrid Buyer–Seller Meet (BSM) on 12 September 2025. The event brought together approximately 55 Guatemalan companies for in-person participation, while Indian companies joined virtually through video conferencing.

    The programme commenced with a warm welcome by H.E. Shri Raj Kumar Singh, Ambassador of India to Guatemala, who underlined the growing India–Guatemala partnership and the importance of technology and innovation as drivers of bilateral trade. The Ambassador extended his greetings to the Guatemalan companies and the Indian participants for taking part in this platform to explore business opportunities.

    Mr. Gurmeet Singh, CEO & Executive Director of ESC, highlighted India’s growing electronics & software exports, inviting Guatemalan firms to explore partnerships and benefit from India’s innovation & tech expertise at the hybrid BSM.

    Mr. Gurmeet Singh, CEO & Executive Director, ESC India, delivered opening remarks highlighting India’s global strengths in electronics, IT and software exports. He stressed that the Indian industry is keen to partner with Guatemala to bring quality products, services and expertise to the Central American market. Ms. Sofía Velásquez, Foreign Trade Coordinator, Chamber of Commerce of Guatemala, welcomed the Indian companies and spoke on Guatemala’s readiness to enhance trade cooperation with India, emphasizing the vast opportunities for collaboration in technology and electronics. Mr. Juan Esteban Sánchez, Director, Invest India, outlined India’s rapidly growing investment climate and invited Guatemalan businesses to collaborate with Indian companies, citing India’s ease of doing business and vibrant start-up ecosystem.

    The highlight of the session was the presentation of “INDIASOFT” Video and PowerPoint presentations by participating Indian companies, moderated by Mr. Vikrant Saxena, Joint Director, ESC. These presentations showcased a diverse range of Indian products, software solutions and services designed to meet international standards and market needs.

    A dynamic Questions and Answers session followed, where Guatemalan participants interacted directly with Indian exporters. Questions covered topics such as supply chains, pricing structures, after-sales service, certification requirements, and logistics. The session allowed for meaningful exchanges and helped clarify specific market demands and opportunities.

    Testimonials from Guatemalan visitors to India — including Mr. Pablo Ceballos and Mr. Daniel Monroy from Guatemala and Mr. Manuel Castillo from Honduras — were shared. They highlighted their positive experiences in India, underlining India’s advanced technology capabilities, business-friendly environment, and warm hospitality.

    Guatemalan companies enthusiastically participated in the BSM exploring opportunities & building stronger business links.

    Both Guatemalan and Indian companies expressed strong interest in follow-up engagements and reported that the BSM had provided valuable insights, opened new channels of communication, and laid the foundation for stronger trade partnerships in the electronics and IT sector between India and Guatemala. The Embassy of India reaffirmed its commitment to continue facilitating such platforms to deepen bilateral commercial engagement and expand opportunities for Indian companies in Central America.

    CHICAGO, IL (TIP):  Federation of Indian Associations [FIA] hosted a grand glittering 75th Indian Independence Day Gala Banquet marking a dazzling milestone celebration ostensibly enhanced with illuminating traditional,patriotic and contemporary dance presentations depicting the majestic elements and the magnificent soulof India matched only by the inspiring remarks that sparked the patriotic fervor of the enthusiastic guestsin a grand ballroom of the Hoffman Marriot on Friday, August 13, 2021 in Hoffman Estate, Illinois.

    The Independence Day “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” Banquet hosted on an impressive scale filled the GrandBallroom to its full capacity with the patriotic spirit in full enthusiastic display at the celebrationssymbolizing the spirit of India lifted by awe-inspiring remarks from prominent honored guests: ConsulGeneral of India Amit Kumar, U.S.Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi, Mayor Rodney Craig, Mayor TomDaily and several other ranking elected officials each heaping praise on the 75th milestonecelebrations. The gala banquet reminisced the golden moments in the history of India and paid richtributes to the vanguard of freedom fighters who accorded the Independence to India. Ms. Neetu Chandra, Bollywood Actress, National Award Winner, International Taekwondo Player graced the occasion as theGrand Marshall to the gala. Angel Tetarbe, World Peace Messenger Los Angeles 2019 and Miss GlamourousWorld India 2017 was also invited to be a part of the Gala.

    The evening gala kicked off with lamp lighting ceremony led by FIA’s Founder Sunil Shah inviting thehonored guest, Honorable Consul General of India, Chicago Mr. Amit Kumar, State Senators CristinaCastro and Laura Murphy , State representative Michelle Mussman and Mayor of Schaumburg Tom Dailly,Village President of Hoffman Estates William McLeod, Mayor of Hanover Park Rodney Craig and VillagePresident of Oak Brook Gopal Lalmalani, Dr. Umang Patel, Dr. Sreenivas Reddy and the FIA’s Founder & Past President Onkar Singh Sangha , President Dr Kamal Patel Advisory Board and Founding Members &Past Presidents Rita Singh, Dhitu Bhagwakar, Mukesh Shah, Neil Khot, Gurmeet Singh, Ninad Daftari andSunny Kular to the dais to mark the auspicious beginning of the evening’s grand celebrations that set-inmotion a series of cultural dance presentations and rousing remarks.

     Consul General of India Mr. Amit Kumar in his address outlined India’s triumphant journey since itsindependence and the rapid strides it is making towards global eminence. Consul General Mr. Amit Kumarthanked the Indian diaspora for playing a significant proactive role as ambassadors in further cementingthe ties between India and the United States and added that the trajectory of Indo-US relations is headingin the upward direction. Consul General Mr. Amit Kumar gave away the awards to several community andbusiness leaders.

    Earlier, the evening’s celebrations began with the beautiful rendition of the Indian and American nationalanthem led by Rita Shah & Mir Ali. Bharat Goradia a prominent National Promoter for US tours ofBollywood Personalities was invited to the stage to address the gathering and introduce Ms. NeetuChandra. Students of SR Dance Academy a Founder Member and Past President Rita Singh’s companyprovided dance numbers that enthralled the audience. Beautiful Ideas, a Neelam Saboo conceptshowcased Indian Fashion at the gala with an India themed Fashion Show. The Gala ended with Rita Shah, Mir Ali, Raju Bankapur regaling the audience with foot tapping Bollywood songs to live music.
