The upcoming film The Sheep Detectives introduces a unique mystery story centred on George, a shepherd played by Hugh Jackman. Every night, George reads detective novels to his sheep, believing they do not understand the stories.
However, when a strange incident disrupts life on the farm, the sheep begin to realise that they must take matters into their own hands. Inspired by the detective tales they have heard, they decide to investigate the mystery themselves.
As the sheep search for clues and observe the humans around them, they suspect someone may be responsible for the disruption. The film uses humor and a light tone to present this unusual crime-solving adventure from the animals’ perspective.
Directed by Kyle Balda and written by Craig Mazin, the film blends mystery with comedy to create a story that is easy to follow and appeals to a wide audience.
