Apple has appointed Indian origin Sabih Khan as COO

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (TIP): Tech giant Apple has appointed Sabih Khan, an Indian-origin executive, as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Khan, who has been with Apple since 1995, played a key role in building and scaling the company’s global supply chain. His annual compensation package is reportedly around $23 million, reflecting his critical role in Apple’s operations.

Born in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, and raised in Singapore, Sabih holds degrees in economics and mechanical engineering from Tufts University and an MBA from Duke University. He previously served as Apple’s Senior Vice President of Operations and was instrumental in advancing Apple’s environmental and supply chain innovations. Khan takes over the COO role at a pivotal time as Apple continues to expand its manufacturing base in India and diversify beyond China.
