NEW YORK (TIP): India is one of the world’s fastest-growing major economies and offers abundant investment opportunities across different sectors. The northern Indian State of Uttar Pradesh, with its inherent strengths, present demographics, and future growth potential, has emerged as a top destination for industrial investment in the country and is moving towards becoming the 2nd largest State economy. The Government of Uttar Pradesh is currently focusing on collaborations in the sectors of IT and Electronics, Agriculture and Food Processing, Defense and Aerospace, Pharmaceuticals and Medical devices, Energy, Tourism, Retail, Venture Capital, Automobile Components, Electric Vehicles and Textiles. The State Government shall be organizing the “Uttar Pradesh Global Investor Summit 2023” (UPGIS) from 10 – 12 February 2023 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. In order to apprise the American business community about the investment climate in Uttar Pradesh and the collaborative opportunities present and the Summit, a delegation of UP Government led by Mr. Suresh Khanna, Hon’ble Finance Minister of Uttar Pradesh, along with senior bureaucrats from the Government, would be in New York on 13 December. The Consulate General of India in partnership with the UP Government, CII and USISPF is jointly organize an Investor Showcase for the UPGIS from 1700 hrs. followed by dinner on 13 December 2022, at the Consulate General of India, 3 East 64 Street, Between 5th and Madison Avenue, New York 10065 from 1700 hrs.
