There’s nothing quite like the impact of a good sports biopic drama. A classic underdog story where the protagonist rises up against all odds and wins. But to a degree, sports biopics have reached a saturation point in the last few years. One can smell the next plot point a mile away, can predict the next dramatic meltdown right from the way the camera pauses for a close-up shot. Sadly, these are some of the cases that plague the new Prime Video entry Unstoppable, based on the extraordinary real-life journey of wrestler Anthony Robles, who was born with one leg.
Make no mistake. Unstoppable is very likeable and ultimately packs an emotional wallop. It has all the ingredients to make an amazing genre entry, but it stays so expectedly overwrought in its own formula that the story rarely takes shape. Marking the directorial debut of Oscar-winning Argo editor William Goldenberg, and produced by Ben Affleck, Unstoppable features a fierce central performance from Jharrel Jerome as Anthony, and an equally impressive supporting turn from Jennifer Lopez as his mother Judy. However, the film feels too caught up trying to impress, too one-note to add any texture to these characters to make them feel more than what they are offered on screen.
Unstoppable starts off with Anthony’s final years in high school, where he impresses with his agile moves in the match. His mother roots for him to excel, and his coach (Michael Peña) supports his dreams. But back home, he has to deal with his abusive stepfather (Bobby Cannavale), which amounts to his anxieties about his next steps. Should he take the offer of a full college scholarship at Drexel or pursue at Iowa, where he believes the best wrestlers go? During his search, his way will lead to coach Shawn Charles (Don Cheadle), whose push will keep Anthony striving for more. -

Bob the Builder, the cheerful handyman who first appeared on CBBC 25 years ago, is getting a cinematic makeover by none other than Jennifer Lopez. The film will follow Roberto (also known as Bob) as he travels to Puerto Rico for a big building project, where he “takes on issues affecting the island and digs deeper into what it means to build”. According to reports, the film will “celebrate the vibrant and colourful textures of the Caribbean Latin nations and their people”.
The director is yet to be announced, but the script will be penned by Felipe Vargas, who previously wrote a horror short about a dark fairy who preys on children in an orphanage.
The voice of Bob will be provided by Anthony Ramos, who starred in both the stage and screen versions of In the Heights.
“For years, Bob the Builder’s characters have inspired young people around the world. A movie about friends working together, a celebration of a beautiful home they share, and how love can help to conquer any obstacle in your way. Can we fix it? Yes, we can!” He said. Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez has shared a snap of kissing her husband Ben Affleck backstage at the Grammy Awards following claims that the actor looked “miserable”.
Fans were convinced they saw the ‘Hustlers’ star “snapping” at her new hubby while they “didn’t know the cameras were rolling” during an awkward exchange at Sunday night’s ceremony, reports ‘Mirror.co.uk’.
The ‘Jenny from the Block’ songstress, 53, and Ben, 50, attended the glitzy bash in Los Angeles on Sunday night. She took to her social media on Tuesday to share a highlight reel of her star-studded night out with her husband and included a picture of her smooching Ben backstage.
“Always the best time with my love, my husband,” she captioned the clip.
As per ‘Mirror.co.uk’, the Instagram reel came after clips shared all over social seemed to show the moment JLo and Ben seemed to be involved in a tense exchange while host Trevor Noah filmed a segment right next to them.
Ben was spotted saying something into Jennifer’s ear before she quickly moves away from him, pulling a somewhat uncomfortable face at the star. Her expressions quickly change after clocking that live TV cameras are pointed right in her direction as she sits up straight and laughs at Trevor’s jokes.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are officially a married couple, the singer-actor confirmed through her newsletter, On the JLo, on July 17. Jennifer and Ben tied the knot in a small ceremony in Las Vegas’s Little White Wedding Chapel. Now, a witness from Jennifer and Ben’s wedding ceremony said in a new interview that the couple was ‘emotional’, and cried as they read their wedding vows. As per reports, an excerpt of Jennifer’s newsletter said that the couple married with ‘the best witnesses you could ever imagine, a dress from an old movie and a jacket from Ben’s closet, we read our own vows in the little chapel and gave one another the rings we’ll wear for the rest of our lives.’ She also called it ‘the best possible wedding we could have imagined. One we dreamed of long ago and one made real (in the eyes of the state, Las Vegas, a pink convertible and one another) at very, very long last’.
Now, Kenosha Portis, who watched Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s 10-minute ceremony, told Good Morning America the two were affectionate and ‘very sweet’. “It was so exciting. We were getting ready to close and we had a special guest arrive as a walk-in… I’m like, ‘Oh my god, this is Jennifer Lopez we’re getting ready to marry’. As they were reading each other vows, they were very sweet. They both were emotional. They cried to each other. Their kids were right there behind them,” Kenosha said.
Jennifer and Ben have five children between them – she shares 14-year-old twins Emme and Max with ex-husband, Marc Anthony, while Ben and ex-wife Jennifer Garner are parents to Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10.

She had a beautiful white bouquet and he had a boutonniere that matched that, as well,” she said. In addition to her note following the wedding, Jennifer also shared some photos and videos from the big night, including selfies with the groom. Jennifer and Ben met in 2001 on the set of their film Gigli, and got engaged the following year. However, just days before their 2003 wedding, the two called it quits. Since then, Ben married and divorced actor Jennifer Garner; while Jennifer married and divorced singer Marc Anthony and also dated Alex Rodriguez, former American baseball player. Jennifer and Ben officially rekindled their relationship in 2021.

Hollywood star Jennifer Lopez says she has a soft spot for romantic comedies and that is why she has done several films in the genre, including her upcoming movie Marry Me. Between 2000 and 2010, the singer-actor has starred in popular rom-coms such as The Wedding Planner, Maid in Manhattan, Shall We Dance?, Monster-in-Law and The Back-up Plan. “Yes, I do have a special place in my heart for rom-coms. That’s why I’ve done so many of these throughout my career,” Lopez said in response to a question asked by PTI during the virtual press conference for Marry Me from Los Angeles. As a movie goer, the pop icon said she loves romantic comedies especially the ones starring Meg Ryan and Julia Roberts. “They are some of my favourite movies of all time whether it is ‘When Harry Met Sally’ or ‘Prelude to a Kiss’, any of these kinds of movies of Meg Ryan era, Julia Roberts, all of those movies are what I grew up on in a way. I love them so much,” she added. Jennifer Lopez’s last rom-com was 2018’s Second Act.

Jennifer Lopez unfollows ex Alex Rodriguez on Instagram
Actor-singer Jennifer Lopez, it appears, is further cementing her rekindled relationship with Oscar winning-actor Ben Affleck as she has recently unfollowed her most recent ex, Alex Rodriguez. She has also deleted every photo with him from her Instagram account.
According to Page Six, Jennifer has deleted all the photos with ex-fiance Alex Rodriguez, including the one that features the duo kissing in front of the Capitol Building — from her Instagram account.
The Boy Next Door star has also unfollowed Alex on Instagram.
The former couple announced their split in April 2021. Jennifer has since rekindled her romance with her ex-beau Ben, whom she dated for 18 months before their 2004 split. The couple, who have worked together in films Gigli and Jersey Girl, went Instagram official on Let’s Get Loud singer’s 52nd birthday.
