Sureshbhai Patel, 57 was slammed to the ground by a police officer named Eric Parker, as a result of which he suffered injury to his spine and is partially paralyzed. The assault on an innocent old man has come in for wide condemnation. Alabama governor has since tendered an apology for the conduct of the police officer.
