Apart from being a phenomenal actor, Alia Bhatt is also a great singer and she showed her singing skills at the launch of her upcoming film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’s third song ‘Ve Kamleya’ on Tuesday, July 18. She also impressed the audience as she rapped at the event with the help of her co-star Ranveer Singh.
Social media is abuzz with viral videos from the song’s launch event. In one clip, Alia took center stage and performed the rap from ‘What Jhumka’. When she fumbled, her co-star Ranveer Singh, was quick to jump in as he started rapping with her, adding his energy to the performance.
Alia’s vocal strength was further showcased as she crooned the film’s romantic track ‘Tum Kya Mile’. Her sweet voice left the audience mesmerised. The song is originally sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal.
Alia and Ranveer’s camaraderie was evident as the two danced on the stage. In the clip, as Ranveer attempted to sing ‘Tum Kya Mile’, Alia playfully intervened and reminded him of their flight. “Flight hum miss karne vale hai (We are going to miss our flight),” Alia quipped, playfully pulling Ranveer away from the stage.
Directed by Karan Johar and penned by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan and Sumit Roy, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani will hit the theatres on July 28. The film boasts a stellar cast, including veteran actors Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani first look posters out
Earlier this year, filmmaker Karan Johar completed the shoot of his upcoming directorial venture Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The family drama features Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. On Thursday, May 24, the cast and makers released Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’s first look. This is Karan’s first film as a director since 2016’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. In the poster, Ranveer wore funky sunglasses and a gold chain around his neck. He also showed his ripped body in the almost bare-chested image as he wore an animal printed shirt and gave a goofy expression. In another poster, Ranveer Singh wore a studded leather jacket. Alia Bhatt sported kohl-rimmed eyes, black bindi and a huge nose ring in the first look posters of her Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani avatar. Sharing her images on Instagram, Karan wrote, “Ladies and gentlemen, the queen is here to steal your hearts – meet Rani!”
