Actor Shahid Kapoor has followed his father and actor Pankaj Kapur’s footsteps into Bollywood but doesn’t want his kids to do the same. In a recent interview, he revealed that he wants his kids to stay away from the industry. Shahid spoke about kids and why he doesn’t want them to enter Bollywood in Raj Shamani’s podcast Figuring Out. Shahid is married to Mira Rajput, with whom he shares a daughter Misha and a son Zain.
“Kaafi saari cheezein hain (There are many things), that I do not want them to take from me. I want them to be more confident inherently, which I think they both are. I wasn’t inherently that confident. Ideally, I wouldn’t want them to do my job, picture mein mat aana yaar. Kuch aur karo, Bahut up and down hota hai yaar, bahut rough hai. (Don’t get into acting. Do something else. There are many ups and downs, it’s very rough) If they want to, it’s their choice, but I would be like choose something simple, this is too complex,” Shahid said.
In the same interview, he also spoke about what he wants to teach his kids. He said, “Always do the right thing, I always try and do the right thing, whether I am liking it, whether someone else is not liking it, whether it is damaging to me, doesn’t matter, I will do the right thing.”

Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon to reunite for the 2nd time in Homi Adajania’s Cocktail 2
A sequel to the 2012 Homi Adajania film Cocktail is reportedly underway. A Pinkvilla report states that the sequel, which will be helmed by Homi again, will see Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon reunite again after their Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya.
The publication quoted sources stating that Dinesh Vijan will produce the sequel to the hit film. Much like the first film, it will be a love triangle, with the hunt on for another female lead. Rashmika Mandanna’s name has also been attached to the project, according to some recent reports.
“After the success of Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon are reuniting on Cocktail 2. The duo loved the script and are excited to venture into the world of this romantic comedy,” they quoted a source as saying.
When Cocktail was released in 2012, the film became a game changer for Deepika, skyrocketing her career. The film was successful when it was released, with the story penned by Imtiaz Ali. It told the story of a love triangle between a playboy, a photographer and a conservative girl. The rom-com’s sequel will also see Luv reportedly be involved in the process. The casting for the film is reportedly underway and will go on floors in May 2025.
Shahid, last seen in TBMAUJ, is shooting for Rosshan Andrrews’ Deva with Pooja Hegde. He has also reportedly said yes to films directed by Vishal Bharadwaj. The announcement of Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films’ next film Deva, starring Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde, has created quite a stir. Deva, directed by noted Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrews and produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, promises to be an action-packed rollercoaster trip filled with thrills and drama. While everyone has been expecting to hear more about the film, there is an exciting update: it has been officially wrapped.
Deva’s filming has been officially completed. The action show concluded with a high-energy song scene filmed over the last four days in Mumbai. Bosco Martis choreographed the song. Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, who is basking in the success of his recently released streaming show, ‘Farzi’, has shot for the campaign of sports platform khiladi.com. Energetic versatile and jovial, the actor changed the vibe in the studio, as soon as he stepped in for the campaign shoot of the sports platform. While the shoot was fun, it reflects in the final output as well. The first reel which has gone live on the actor’s instagram handle, shows him in an office set up. Donning a blue shirt paired with a striped waistcoat, he is seen kicking his feet up on the table while his boss negotiates his bonus percentage.

Shahid Kapoor Clarifies Whether Mira Rajput Gives Opinion On His Scripts
Actor Shahid Kapoor, in a new interview, clarifies if wife Mira Rajput gives her opinions on his choice of scripts. Shahid said that he didn’t say that Mira ‘sits for narrations and all’, adding that people ‘can misconstrue’.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Shahid said, “I never said that, my wife sits for narrations and all. Someone can misconstrue the way it is said and think that earlier it was just Shahid and now Mira too should like the script. There is nothing as such. Basically what I was talking about then was that Mira was quite younger and she comes from Delhi. The question was does she understand your world? Do you guys share things with each other?“
He also added, “So in that context, I always share everything with her. I guess, like every couple does that, you know, you spend that little time and you always crave that little time in a day or sometimes in a week where you can just sit down and tell each other what’s going on. Because you know when two people are busy doing their own thing sharing reduces and when you are not sharing enough you lose understanding of each other’s scenarios. I have always felt that if you can regularly stay connected with each other it allows that person an insight into what you are dealing with, which they might not get. So in that way, I share everything with Mira.”
Last year, when Shahid appeared on Case Toh Banta Hai, he was asked about not liking a script. Shahid had said, “Nahi, aisa kabhi nahi hua hai (laughs). Kaam karna padta hai sir, ghar chalana padta hai. (No, it has never happened (laughs) We have to work, run the household),” zoom quoted him as saying. Speaking about the difference in opinion with respect to scripts with Mira, he had said as quoted by Zoom, “Ji personal life mein toh roz yahi hota hai, aur jo unka script sense hota hai ussi script par kaam kiya jata hai (This happens everyday in my personal life but whatever she says, goes).”
Shahid is currently seen in Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s Farzi, his web series debut. In the Prime Video show, the actor plays the role of Sunny. Farzi, an eight-part series, also features Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon, Raashi Khanna, Bhuvan Arora, Amol Palekar, and Regina Cassandra.

Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani tie the knot in Jaisalmer
Bollywood couple Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra tied the knot at Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer on February 7 among family and close friends in a lavish wedding. The varmala and the pheras took place in the courtyard of the hotel. A special ‘bavdi’ was set up for this purpose. The wedding festivities started on February 6 with mehendi and sangeet. The wedding day started with the haldi ceremony followed by the wedding.
The mehendi ceremony was attended by Bollywood celebrities like Karan Johar, Juhi Chawla, Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Rajput. Both Sidharth and Kiara set the dance floor on fire during the mehendi ceremony celebrations. The ceremony started at the Suryagarh Hotel lakeside. The guests were seated in the Sunset Patio Garden by the lake. Mehendi was first applied to Kiara’s hands, and it was Siddharth’s turn next.
Later, the women of the two families, including the bride’s mother, Genevieve, aunt Sumita and maternal grandmother Valerie. Meera Rajput also got mehendi applied to her hands.
When the ceremony was on, DJ Ganesh kept the guests grooving to Bollywood and fusion numbers. The families of both Sidharth and Kiara also put up performances tailored for the occasion.
As the evening descended upon the lakeside, DJ Ganesh pumped up the pace of the music, and Kiara’s rapper brother Mishaal Advani, apart from Punjabi electronic folk artistes Hari and Sukhmani, also belted out peppy numbers to keep the guests grooving through the evening.
More than 100 dishes from 10 countries were reportedly served to the guests at the wedding. The menu included Italian, Chinese, American, South Indian, Mexican, Rajasthani, Punjabi, and Gujarati cuisines. Jaisalmer’s Ghotwan Ladoo was also among the sweets. Sidharth and Kiara started dating while working together in ‘Shershaah’.

Shahid Kapoor turns producer
Shahid Kapoor is one busy man. After Jersey and Raj and DK’s next, Shahid was supposed to work on Shashank Khaitan’s Yoddha but he walked out of the film at the last minute. He was also in talks for several other films, including the Hindi remake of Surarai Pottru, a Ram Madhvani film and the big budgeted Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra directorial Karna. Now, we can tell you that although he’s making his digital debut on Amazon Prime Video, he has inked a huge deal with Netflix as well. A source informed Bollywood Hungama, “Shahid has been paid to the tune of over Rs. 70-80 crore for a trilogy that he’s going to star in. It’s a period mythological war saga that will be adapted from Amish Tripathi’s novel. Not just that, this will also mark Shahid’s foray into production.” He had been waiting to set up his own production house for some time. “Shahid was almost kick-starting his own banner with the Dingko Singh biopic but it fell apart. Now, Netflix and he have signed a mutual agreement on this project. It will most likely feature him and is going to be an ambitious period venture designed on the lines of a Baahubali but only for the web.

Dengue Bites Vidya Balan; BMC blames Neighbor Shahid Kapoor, Served Notice
Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is the new victim of the Dengue outbreak. The actress was diagnosed with the disease on Friday.The BMC has sent a notice to actor Shahid Kapoor, who lives close to Balan on Juhu Tara road, and another neighbour to prevent the breeding of vestor for the disease, the Aedes Aegypti species of mosquito.
While surveying Kapoor’s home, the BMC found the species breeding inside the actor’s swimming pool. Kapoor has received a notice under section 382 of the BMC Act to prevent the breeding of the mosquito, which probably bit Balan, who lives only two floors above.
Besides attracting mosquitoes, allowing stagnant water also brings a fine of Rs 10,000 with it under the BMC act.
Ever since the Dengue outbreak, over 1500 people have been admitted in hospitals and many have died from the ailment.
