Paneer tikka

Ingredients
– 250 grams paneer (cut into cubes), 1 cup thick curd (hung curd preferred), 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste, 1 teaspoon red chilli powder, ½ teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, ½ teaspoon garam masala, 1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder, 1 teaspoon chaat masala, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 tablespoon mustard oil (optional), Salt to taste; 1 onion (cut into cubes), 1 capsicum (cut into cubes), 1 tomato (cut into cubes), 1 tablespoon oil or butter, Wooden or metal skewers
Preparation Method
– Take thick curd in a bowl and whisk it until smooth. Add ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, cumin powder, chaat masala, lemon juice, mustard oil, and salt. Mix well to form a thick marinade.
– Add paneer cubes, onion, capsicum, and tomato pieces to the marinade. Mix gently so that the paneer does not break. Cover and keep in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. For best flavor, marinate for 2-3 hours.
– Thread paneer and vegetables alternately onto skewers.
– Preheat oven to 200°C.
– Place skewers on a baking tray.
– Brush with oil or butter.
– Bake for 15-20 minutes, turning once in between.
Serving Suggestions
Serve hot paneer tikka with: Mint chutney, Onion rings, Lemon wedges, Sprinkle of chaat masala
