Al-Noor International Hosts Spectacular Sixth Annual Cruise Mushaira on Grapevine Lake

GRAPEVINE, TX (TIP): Al-Noor International successfully hosted its Sixth Annual Cruise Mushaira, bringing together poets, writers, community leaders, and lovers of Urdu literature for an unforgettable evening aboard a luxury cruise on the tranquil waters of Grapevine Lake.

Departing from Silver Lake Marina, the four-hour literary voyage attracted a capacity audience of nearly one hundred guests. With every seat occupied well in advance, the event was completely sold out, reflecting the growing popularity of Al-Noor International’s unique literary initiatives.

The evening commenced with an elegant dinner, followed by a distinguished poetry symposium. Renowned poet Tariq Hashmi presided over the Mushaira, while noted community leader, author, and engineer Pramod Rajput attended as the Chief Guest. The event was patronized by celebrated poet Dr. Shamsa Qureshi, and skillfully conducted by Ameen Haider, who traveled from Chicago to serve as the master of ceremonies.

The distinguished panel of poets included Dr. Saleha Suleman, Dr. Hamid Sheikh, Dr. Shamsa Qureshi, Shah Alam Asar, Fahad Khan (Chicago), Dr. Noor Amrohvi, Nadir Durrani, Tariq Hashmi, and Ijaz Sheikh, all of whom captivated the audience with their thought-provoking and eloquent poetry.

The program opened with welcoming remarks by Shah Alam Asar, Coordinator of Al-Noor International, who expressed gratitude to the guests, poets, volunteers, and supporters. Popular community personality Shazia Khan added warmth and charm to the opening segment with her engaging presentation.

As the cruise gently sailed across the serene waters of Grapevine Lake, guests enjoyed a rare fusion of natural beauty and literary excellence. The cool evening breeze, shimmering waters, and soulful recitations created an atmosphere of elegance, reflection, and cultural celebration.

The gathering reflected the true spirit of diversity. Members of Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, Christian, and other communities participated side by side, reaffirming Al-Noor International’s enduring commitment to promoting cultural harmony, mutual respect, and the universal language of poetry.

At the conclusion of the evening, the organizers expressed heartfelt appreciation to the volunteers, supporters, media representatives, and all attendees whose contributions ensured the success of the event.

Special recognition was also given to Dr. Noor Amrohvi, Founder and Chairman of Al-Noor International, whose vision has introduced the concept of the Cruise Mushaira as one of the organization’s signature literary traditions. Tribute was equally paid to Dr. Shamsa Qureshi, Patron of Al-Noor International, for her unwavering dedication and invaluable role in planning and organizing the organization’s literary and community programs.
