Countdown begins for 3-day Made in India Trade Exhibition in Guatemala

GUATEMALA CITY (TIP):  The countdown for the 3-day Made in India Trade Exhibition has begun. The Indian  Embassy in Guatemala,  in collaboration with  ´Beti and Shiksha Foundation´ (a Non-Profit, Non-Political Organization that has been playing a catalytic role in economically empowering women and promoting Indian Industries) is organizing an immaculate 3-day “MADE IN INDIA” grand trade exhibition in Cayala from 22-24 September. A day before, on 21 September, Indian Embassy in Guatemala and B & S Foundation are organizing first ever Thematic Fashion Show “Weaves of India” at Patio de la Vida, in the National palace of Guatemala, to showcase India’s rich heritage, culture, textiles as a blend of modern & traditional wear.

The trade show is aimed at increasing B2B and B2C connectivity between India and Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and other countries of the Latin American Region.

The trade show would showcase India´s strength in Handicrafts, Textiles, Gem &Jewelry, Ayurveda products, Pharmaceuticals, and Automobiles sectors. The event would also focus on promoting India’s rich heritage, culture, resilience in supply chain, particularly focusing on Atmanirbhar Bharat.

The main attraction of the event is 10 National Award winner artisans in handicrafts who are coming to the show from India with the support of Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH). These 10 artists will be showcasing their art in handloom saree, jewelry, silver engraving, phad painting, among others.

On the sidelines of the main event, we are also organizing several cultural programs including yoga & ayurveda workshops; Incredible India tourism shows and Henna Workshops.
