Pak agencies making fake calls to Indian security forces, alert issued

Following the drone attack at the Jammu air base, security agencies have picked up several fake calls to the forces made by Pakistani spy agency ISI.

Intelligence sources have said security agencies have issued an alert over an increasing number of fake calls being made to the Indian security forces from Pakistan.

Pakistan’s ISI has been mulling over increasing the frequency of these fake calls to the Indian security force installations by impersonating senior officials of the armed forces, said the sources.

These calls originate from different numbers with very few traces.

Sources have also said that the increasing number of such calls after the drone threats in the western sector has raised an alarm among the security agencies.

Such activities were reported by the security agencies earlier as well and advisories to the agencies were issued by the headquarters, according to intel sources.

In view of the upcoming Independence Day celebrations, security agencies have been asked to remain vigilant of these fake calls and to take suitable measures to prevent the passage of any information
