NEW YORK CITY (TIP): 110 Sikh students and professionals from every Ivy League campus gathered at the World Trade Center in New York City for the inaugural Sikh Ivy League Conference- the first ever event of its kind- on April 11, 2026. Two panels featured Sikh professionals from Blackstone, PJT Partners, J.P. Morgan, Weill Cornell Medicine, a Forbes 30 Under 30 founder, and a Rhodes Scholar serving in the U.S. Air Force.

The conference was co-sponsored by the United Sikh Movement and Sikhs of NY and organized entirely by students and Sikh student associations across seven campuses. For a community that is often in the news in the context of hate crimes and discrimination, this was a different kind of story. 110 young Sikhs at the World Trade Center, building a professional network from scratch because one did not exist for them. A LinkedIn recap of the event has reached over 11,000 accounts.
