HOUSTON (TIP): The Consulate General of India in Houston hosted a closed-door roundtable on “Global Energy Outlook 2026” in collaboration with the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF), on February 4, 2026, in Houston.

Dr. Prasanna V. Joshi, Corporate Director – Economics and Energy at ExxonMobil, walked the attendees through a powerful long-term view of global demand, supply and technology shifts, setting the stage for a candid conversation on where the world is headed over the next 25 years.
Consul General Mr. D. C. Manjunath who set the context for the discussions highlighted India’s growing demand for energy to sustain the growth of its economy and the importance of sustained dialogue and cooperation in the evolving global energy landscape.

More than 30 senior leaders from across the energy ecosystem—ExxonMobil, Chevron, Honeywell, GAIL, L&T, Weatherford, LanzaTech, S&P Global, McKinsey, SPE and others—joined for a high signal exchange on how to balance energy security with energy transition, reduce carbon footprints, and design smarter public policy and market driven solutions.

India’s energy story was at the center of the dialogue: how a fast-growing economy can secure reliable, affordable energy while accelerating cleaner technologies and innovation.
This roundtable is part of the Consulate’s ongoing effort to create a trusted space where industry, experts and policymakers can brainstorm on the big questions that will define our shared energy future. Many more such conversations to come.
