Bollywood couple Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal have welcomed their first child, a baby boy. The couple shared the news on Friday, Nov 7. “Our bundle of joy has arrived. With immense love and gratitude, we welcome our baby boy,” the actors wrote in a joint statement posted on their respective Instagram accounts.
Katrina and Vicky, who tied the knot in Rajasthan in December 2021, have largely kept their relationship private.
Fans and celebrities have flooded social media with congratulatory messages for the new parents.
Actress Kareena Kapoor commented, “Katttttt welcome to the boy Mamma club… so happy for you and Vicky,” while actor Arjun Kapoor dropped heart emojis. Fashion designer Manish Malhotra also joined in, writing “Congratulations”.

Vicky Kaushal on transformation for Chhaava: Went from 80 to 105 kilos
After his role in the action film Uri: The Surgical Strike, Vicky Kaushal is elated to be a part of Chhaava. The period drama features Vicky playing the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. During his recent media interaction at Chhaava trailer launch, the actor shared his preparation behind playing the iconic character.
Vicky Kaushal confessed that he wanted to do an action film for a very long time. He shared how he had gained 25 kgs for his role in the upcoming drama. While talking about the same, he said, “The last action film I did was Uri: The Surgical Strike. Since then, I have been yearning for an opportunity to do action again. I didn’t know they’d put me on a horse and have me wield a sword. But everything was new. I didn’t know horse riding, so I trained for it, along with sword fighting and spear combat—everything involved proper training for 6-7 months. Then there was the weight gain—I went from 80 kilos to 105 kilos.”
Adding, he said how he trained hard for his role. “Other than this, I had to do a lot of action training, practicing action sequences for months. Action choreographer Parvez Sir and his team supported us immensely. The entire action sequence you saw in the teaser was shot under the scorching sun with a crowd of 2,000 people, including around 500 stuntmen. It was during the month of Ramadan, and many stuntmen were fasting, performing stunts without eating or drinking, all to showcase the glory of Shambhaji Maharaj.”
Chhaava is set to release in theatres on February 14. -

Actor Vicky Kaushal has dismissed media reports about wife Katrina Kaif’s pregnancy as “speculation”, saying they will happily announce whenever they have “good news”.
Kaushal, who is currently promoting his upcoming comedy “Bad Newz”, was in the city to promote the movie ahead of its Friday release. The film also stars Triptii Dimri and Amy Virk. “As far as the good news that you spoke about is concerned, we will be very happy to share it with you when we have it. But till then, there is no truth to that, there is only speculation which is coming from the media. So please, enjoy ‘Bad Newz’ for now, we will share with you when there is time for good news,” Kaushal said at a promotional event here. When the host requested the media to not ask personal questions, the actor quipped, “There is a very good line in the picture, which is ‘Don’t get personal’.” Pregnancy rumours gained prominence when a picture of the couple walking on the streets of London became viral on social media with many fans speculating that Kaif was sporting a baby bump.

The internet is obsessed with a new video of actors Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal walking together on the streets of London. After the video surfaced online, social media was flooded with comments about how Katrina – who was dressed in baggy clothes – is expecting her first child with her husband. A report by Zoom even claimed that the actor is pregnant. However, her representative agency has called the report ‘unconfirmed’.
“Request all media houses to immediately stop this unconfirmed reporting and speculation,” read a statement shared by Raindrop media.
Per a source quoted by Zoom, Katrina Kaif’s pregnancy rumours are not off the mark. The source said that ‘if all goes well, Katrina and Vicky will welcome their first child in the UK’. Earlier in February this year, actor Anushka Sharma gave birth to her second child, son Akaay, in London, as per multiple reports.
The source quoted by Zoom added that Katrina, who has grown up in the UK and owns a house in London’s Hampstead, will deliver her baby in London. “Katrina bacha London mein hi deliver karegi. Vicky bhi wahin hai (Yes, she is pregnant. They will welcome their first child in London itself. Vicky is already there with her).”

Vicky Kaushal concludes shooting for ‘Sam Bahadur’
Actor Vicky Kaushal on Tuesday announced that he has wrapped the shooting of his next feature project “Sam Bahadur”, directed by Meghna Gulzar. “Sam Bahadur” is based on the life and times of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, one of India’s greatest war heroes. The movie, set to be released in theatres on December 1, 2023, is produced by RSVP Movies. Kaushal shared the news of the film wrap on Instagram, posting a photo with Gulzar, who earlier directed the actor in her 2018 directorial “Raazi”. The 34-year-old actor said he is grateful to have played a “true legend” on the big screen.

I think that’s the ongoing quest and the process of reaching that is, I think, where I’ve always wanted to be. Being perfect is like a mirage, you know? You always feel you’re reaching there but you’re never quite there. So, I don’t think I’m a perfect husband. I don’t think I’m perfect in any way, but I try to be the best version of a husband I can be at any given moment. Of course, tomorrow I will be better than I was yesterday but I always try to do the best that I can.”
He further reflected on his marriage with Katrina, and said, “You learn a lot when you start living with a person and when you have a companion. I think in the past year, I’ve learned so much more than the years I was single because it’s just beautiful how you start understanding another person’s perspective and that makes you truly grow as a person.”
Vicky was last seen in Govinda Naam Mera, which was released on Netflix in December 2022. The film also featured Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar. Shoojit Sircar terms decision to not send Sardar Udham for Oscars ‘very subjective’
Fans of Vicky Kaushal’s latest Sardar Udham have expressed their displeasure on the film not being selected as India’s official entry for the 94th Academy Awards. But the film’s director, Shoojit Sircar feels the jury’s decision to not select the film is “very subjective”. Interacting with the media recently, Sircar said, “It is a personal opinion, it is very subjective, I have no comment on that. I respect the jury and their decision. The film that was finally selected, I know about it, and I am glad that it was chosen. I go by the jury’s decision.” Sardar Udham is based on the Indian revolutionary Sardar Udham Singh who assassinated Michael O’Dwyer, the lieutenant governor of Punjab at the time of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar. The film stars Vicky Kaushal in the titular role. Stating why the film was not sent for the Oscars, one of the jury members, Indraadip Dasgupta said the film “portrays our hatred towards the British”. He also gave the length of the movie as one of the reasons for it losing out to Tamil drama Koozhangal (Pebbles) which has been announced as India’s official entry for the Oscars this year.

Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar’s upcoming movie “Sardar Udham”, starring Vicky Kaushal in the lead, will premiere on Amazon Prime Video. A biopic on freedom fighter Sardar Udham Singh, who assassinated Michael O’Dwyer, the former Lieutenant Governor of Punjab in British India in 1940, to avenge the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre, the film will digitally release in October. Said to be a “heart-wrenching story of retribution”, “Sardar Udham” showcases the journey of a gallant man who made sure the world never forgets the lives of his beloved brethren who were brutally killed in the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre of 1919. Vicky Kaushal took his Instagram handle to break the news of release. He wrote, “My heart is filled with love as we bring to you the story of a revolutionary. This October, watch #SardarUdhamOnPrime.” Prime Video too shared the same picture on its Istagram and captioned it, “You know the man but not his story. Bringing to you the story of India’s freedom fighter, this October, watch #SardarUdhamOnPrime.”
