Grand Event Held to Felicitate Distinguished Alumni of IITK

NEW YORK (TIP): IITK delegation, led by IIT Kanpur Director, Prof. Abhay Karandikar, made their first pit-stop at New York to hold formal interactions with alumni at an event held in Indian Consulate on 8 May 2022.

Shri Randhir Jaiswal, Indian Consul General, was the Guest of Honour. The event was attended by Dr Varun Jeph, Deputy Consul General, along with about 75 eminent alumni. Distinguished alumni of IITK, Dr. Dev Joneja, Prof. Shivendra Panwar, and Mr. Ranjan Tandon were felicitated at the event as they could not attend Distinguished Alumnus Award and Distinguished Services Award ceremonies of IITK due to Covid-19 pandemic.

As one of the top benefactors of IITK, Dr. Dev Joneja and Mr. Anil Bansal addressed the gathering and encouraged alumni to give back to the Institute. IITK delegation team consists of Prof. S. Ganesh, Deputy Director, IITK, Prof. Yogesh M. Joshi, Mr. Kapil Kaul, CEO, IITK Development Foundation. The delegation is traveling across the US to meet its alumni to strengthen its relations and chart the future road map of the Institute.
