Dr. Dattatreya Nori honored by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center

NEW YORK CITY (TIP): Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York honored Dr. Dattatreya Nori at their International Brachytherapy Symposium , with the “Distinguished Service Award” for his outstanding contributions and pioneering work at MSKCC as Chief of Brachytherapy services. Dr, Nori introduced many innovative cancer treatment programs for lung, gynecological and genitourinary cancers, which have become the standard of care at the present time. Dr. Nori has participated as primary investigator in many National Cancer Institute sponsored brachytherapy studies , to standardize brachytherapy practice across the U.S. He has contributed over 200 publications and 4 books on Radiation Oncology and Brachytherapy.

He is also the associate Editor for 3 Oncology journals. Over the last decade, Dr. Nori has been selected as one of the top doctors for cancer treatment in America by Castle & Connolly. Dr. Nori has trained over 200 residents, who have become leaders in various academic centers in the U.S. and abroad. Dr. Nori is presently a professor & Vice Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center, and Chairman of Radiation Oncology at New York Hospital Queens.
