Dallas jury awards $44 million
A Dallas County jury awarded $44 million in damages to the family of a man killed in a crash on I-35 during the 2021 winter ice storm. Christopher Ray Vardy, 49, died after his car was rear-ended by an 18-wheeler. The driver and the trucking firm were found liable. (Photo for representation only)
